This is my official cover of a piece of lost media, the original debut of Samoorai’s theme as it first aired in Samurai Jack. I’ve worked diligently to recreate it as faithfully as possible. I’ve always loved this track from FFX—pure metal energy with that gritty, chaotic vibe that fits Jecht perfectly. So I decided to take it on myself. This is a full cover of “Otherworld,” the iconic Jecht theme, keeping true to the original’s aggressive heavy metal style—nothing's toned down here. Every instrument you hear? Played and recorded by me. Vocals? Brand new and recorded with a killer metal vocalist bringing his own twist while still channeling that raw growl from the original.

Big love to Nobuo Uematsu who composed this, the lyrics were written by Alexander O. Smith, and the song was performed by Bill Muir, the frontman of the death metal band xtillidiex.

Step into the quiet mystique of Matataki Village with this reimagined take on Dark Cloud’s Owl Forest theme.
