Move! Bitbear's music entry for the demoscene party Solskogen 2015's Newschool Music Competition. 

The first sketch of the song was started many years ago and then placed in hibernation until the night of Thursday 8th of July, where I finally had some time to attempt doing a track for Solskogen's Newschool Music Competition. 

I brute forced myself through the night and produce an arrangement-wise complete song that I delivered at the party the 10th of July, but it was full of bugs so the mix sounded awful. Thus, I've reworked large parts of it so it sounds like this. Hope you like it!

After having spent a over a year renovating most of the apartment, changing position at work and delivering a talk at NDC Oslo, I feel like I'm coming out of a very stressful hibernation and finally being awake and able to attend one of my favorite places on earth: Solskogen. Having That Flateby Feeling again is awesome!

The song is made from 4 different parts, some of which are more than 20 years old. Being short on time between delivering a talk at NDC and completing a song for Solskogen 2019, using these old scraps is what got me to the finish line in time. I'm not happy about the result, but given the time constraints and the state of the scraps I pulled together, I'm somewhere between 70-90% content with the result.

Credits to litn aka @anneliulsberg aka my wife for the hours she put in to the cover art and for giving me very valuable input to the song. The scraps I had pulled together were very chaotic at first, but she gave me a direction to work in and it paid off, allowing me to complete something that sounds like one song although it consists of four very distinct parts. I love you!

Thanks to @MONOMAGNUS and @ModuloOne for some last minute mixing and production tips that improved the song.

Lastly I'd like to send a kiss off to my wonderful daughter Liv, whom I love above everything on this planet and who for some reason loves listening to my music. That means so much to me it's impossible to describe.

My contribution to the newschool music competition of the last Solskogen ever – Solskogen 2020 Sunset Online. I dedicated this to the Solskogen crew: Although it's rainy days ahead with Solskogen now being over, we have one final party to light up our lives like a Sunset Through The Rain.

Bitbear started fiddling with music in Pro Tracker on the Amiga 500 in the early 90's. But first when he got his hands on Scream Tracker and Fast Tracker on a PC, he started producing "real" music under the alias "Power of Creation".

He created two albums and submitted songs to various demoscene competitions throughout the 90's until he put his musical career on the shelf until it was rebooted in 2012 by entering the Kindergarden 2012 Dance Music Competition under the new-found alias Bitbear.
