In honor of this past Sunday, Mental Health Awareness Day, I have the pleasure of interviewing a very special guest today, LPC, MA Therapist Mycah Whiting! 

I can speak firsthand to her expertise because she is MY therapist! The best way I can think to be open and honest about mental health is to bring you into my world and share advice from my therapist that has changed my life forever in the best ways possible.

Mental health is a topic that carries a lot of stigma and my goal with today's episode is to help eliminate that stigma! We should all be open about our mental health and Mycah will help walk us through all of the mental health basics such as:  

- What to talk to your friends about vs your therapist
- Who should go to therapy?
- Daily habits for good mental health
- Alcohol, how to use it responsibility, when to take a break

We also discuss important topics with my own mental health. I have suffered from anxiety and depression my entire life and ever since I started going to therapy a few years ago, my mental health has been so much more manageable and I am much better equipped to handle what comes my way. We also discuss a recent trauma that I went through with a break up ***TRIGGER WARNING*** This podcast includes discussions of cheating an infidelity, please be aware before listening to this episode that I will not be responding to messages asking to names names or call anyone out, this discussion is to help anyone else that has been through the trauma that cheating causes by hearing advice from my therapist to help you and anyone you know that you are not alone and how to get through this.
