Episode 35: The Lion, The Bitch and The Closet

The Bitches are trying their best to remove the “I told you so” look off their (two) faces, but  alas next year looks to be another dumpster fire.  In a bid for positivity/ sanity/ sobriety/ productivity they ask the question, “was this a good week or a bad week?” Clutch your pearls, the answers may shock. Daniel has escaped into all things green, and its not just his new vegan diet, as the Wicked premiers gives us looks so stunning they won’t just make you melt, they’re almost pornographic. We just had to dip our toes into it. Max finds himself bombarded by British Christmas adverts and taking this as a sign just gives up and dives head first into the Holidays. It’s just a pity gift shopping can be such a pain in the ass… literally. Where’s Mrs. Claus when you need her. Then the Bitches, fresh from a Friendsgiving to remember, discuss all things Holidays; do Fall decorations provide that nice soft landing, how long can you truly keep the season going for and what is the balance between pacing and embracing? Episode 93: Jesus was a feet guy!

The Bitches are back and SO ARE MAX’S PARENTS, ready to give their very British opinion on all this USA, including Turkey Day and this disturbing trend of not drinking… kill the witches indeed. Daniel celebrates his own personal holiday, Lady Bird Ascension Day. What is it about great women defying gravity? It’s as if men don’t have the balls, or head, all of a sudden? Max has been cooking up such a storm in the kitchen, he could have sent a small Kansas girl to Oz. I’ll deal with you later love, I have to get a feast on the table by 3PM. Then the Bitches, parents in tow, head to see the Wizard and FINALLY give their review for Wicked, a movie that defies not just gravity, but EVERYTHING as it becomes a cultural phenomenon in its own right. Episode 95: Thrust Warning, Parental Supervision Required!

These Bitches love you. We just wanted you to know that. We’re recording this on an incredibly tough day for multiple reasons that we plan to deal with head on..… that is once we’ve broken down Madonna’s career and discussed the lessons she could learn from Shirley Bassey and Cher. Daniel hits a milestone in his sober journey and celebrates by arriving to the studio in his fat jeans and not his fat fat jeans (his words, not mine). Max grapples with a truly huge life event but between Ina’s cookies and being called the Hugh Grant of the office (their words, not mine) he’s going to look at positives. What’s that happening over at Wicked Broadway? Then the Besties break down all the culture surrounding the Super Bowl. Only joking, that was complete rubbish, and we aren't even talking about the score. However,  we do have a genuinely interesting and heartfelt conversation about how all this social upheaval is changing the dating scene. Never forget, someone loves you!
