Welcome to the Midgar Records takeover. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Berlin-based label will be taking over the 909 mix series for the duration of September with a mix running each week from a label affiliate with a full lowdown on the label to accompany the final edition.

kicking things off we have the german producer and dj aa sudd taking the helm - locked in with a rolling percussive-led mix.  aa sudd is known for his more experimental psychedelic productions that leans more towards the cinematic, creating these immersive worlds to get lost in. alongside his release on midgar, aa sudd has collaborated with konduku as kondsudd on amenthia recordings and released on mirror zone as vector tracer. aa sudd also hosts the incredible hyperterranean radio on lyl radio. now on its fourth season, the show has featured guests such as agonis, faery, timnah, sybil, kia, garçon, zara and more.

Mayss is a Jordanian DJ, curator, and writer. She is also the founder of Dreaming Live, a podcast dedicated to uncompromised creative expression. Art as the voice of our Innermost as opposed to art as entertainment.  Dreaming Live is about  being, who we choose to be. From the state of being, to dream. For our dreams, to create. His impressive back catalogue includes releases on labels such as Brokntoys, Gated Records, 030303, Artificial Intelligence, Kulture Galerie and a recent split LP as Qeta with BufoBufo on Batrachian.

Our next mix was created by Samira. 
Based in Rotterdam, she is not only active in arts and culture as the owner of Bureau Convoi, a lobbying agency for cultural organizations and working at Nest, an Art Space in The Hague, but she is also extremely active in the music scene. 
Be it at Operator Radio, where she also has her own show called "Ever so often", at the Grauzone Festival or as a great DJ. 

Her mix reflects her musical diversity in a perfect way. Menacing, sluggish beats, haunting synths and powerful electro crafted all together into a dark journey. Enjoy.

BITE is the Berlin-based techno label co-founded by Hayden Payne (aka Phase Fatale) in 2018. Beginning with the debut collaborative EP by Silent Servant & Phase Fatale, the label aims to platform artists who operate outside the conventional preconceptions of techno and are united by an ambition to push the boundaries of electronic music. This drive is further exemplified by regular showcases at renowned institutions Berghain, Basement, and Tbilisi’s KHIDI as well as a multitude of clubs throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

With a vast artist roster from stalwarts such as Ron Morelli and Teste to contemporary talent from the likes of Pablo Bozzi and Gael, the eclectic variety of releases touches upon a range of styles along the moodier fringes of electronic music. BITE has proved itself as the imprint to watch. Fresh off the heels of their 5 year anniversary in 2023 culminating in the acclaimed triple LP compilation ‘Shedding Skin,’ BITE moves into more dancefloor territory with their next releases by label head Phase Fatale and remixes by Rrose. The display of the music is also represented in its visual prowess with cutting designs and colorways intended to take the sound into another dimension. From proper techno to synthpunk and to sparse minimalist industrial, BITE never fails to deliver fresh and razor-sharp sounds tying together the narrative of dance music.
