(OK--lesson learned.  Don't release two tracks on the same day.  Understood.  I feel bad for "Northamerican Stomp," though--it sure looks like "Penultimate Chase" diverted attention from it, leaving it tragically unlistened to.  If you'd like to help make up for my mistake--and hubris--giving a listen to "Northamerican Stomp" after you check out TODAY's track.)  

Today's track (the only one I will release today, promise) is an intense thing.  (You see what I've done there, yes?)  Somewhat dark but definitely hard house track with movie snippets, obnoxious noises, brief glimpses of guitar and breakbeeat...but most of all, there's a galloping bass that could damage your speakers if you play this too loud.  (I dare you.  I also take no responsibility, after all I have warned you.)  

There is part of me that delights in doing the "wrong" thing.  Call it cheeky, call it devious, call it punk rock...but the fact that the bassline in this track is both subsonic deep and fast at the same time is proof that I've got the devil in me.  (When it comes to bass--you can go subsonic OR you can go fast, you're not supposed to do both.  ::cue Steve Austin flipping off the world::)  

Like many Interbay tracks, this came together rather quickly...and then got fiddled with until I  pushed myself away from the buffet.  The temporary project name for this was "driven"--which might have been a fine title that would have fit rather well with this track...but then I had an idea for what I might snag for a vocal element...  

...and that's why, now, we're living "In Tents".  

Things in this track are not stable--you think you've got a handle on what this track does...and then suddenly that synthesizer that sounded almost normal seemingly turns into the worst played theremin ever.  Are those trombones being tortured or is that yet another bassline?  

If you like the louder, noisier and decently paced (it feels faster than the 138bpm that FL Studio tells me it is...) Interbay tracks...here's one that should delight you.

BITE is the Berlin-based techno label co-founded by Hayden Payne (aka Phase Fatale) in 2018.
