Knowledge Imprint is proud to welcome another young talent to the roster. Hailing from the UK, FLAWS is fairly new to the scene, but he has already begun cementing himself with a clear vision, purpose and artistic integrity. His passion for music is evident not only through his own productions and DJ sets, but also through his labels that he runs with his likeminded counterparts. 

‘Cosmology’ introduces the EP with dubby textures, dark moods and a chugging rhythm that carries the listener through shades of loopy techno. Subtle percussive shifts are synchronised with a repeating bass stab that gives the track a sense of galloping, forward movement. ‘Principle’ on the other hand is a lesson in restraint. A simple loop comprising of a kick drum and melodic digital percussion repeats throughout, whilst a running white noise hi-hat provides rhythmic diversity in the arrangement. Elegant and minimalistic, the track encourages introspection but could be equally functional for dancefloor moments. 

‘Code’ employs slower tempos to drag you into its depths, this track evokes darker moods with somber pads ebbing and flowing throughout. Similarly, the track’s repetitive nature is countered with hi-hats that spontaneously expand and contract. ‘Structure’ closes the EP with a sense of optimism and release. It’s punchy drums and rhythmic variations are layered with lush pads that sway in and out of an arpeggiated synth melody. 

‘The true art of living in harmony with the earth, fellow humans and the universe is an idea that should be observed with delicate attention. We could have a chance to broaden our nature to understand more clearly what reality consists of.’

Our next premiere is a monster hypnotic from @fluid_music, brimming with crescendoing layers and pulsating kicks this track is primed for peaktime hypnotic vibes. 

BLVSH proudly presents its third compilation, "Illusion(s)", a curated collection of Techno tracks crafted exclusively by FLINTA* producers.

Available in digital and vinyl format, this release is a kaleidoscope of sound and vision, offering four original tracks that explore the depths of Deep Hypnotic and Industrial Techno, created by the talented Fluid, INVERNO, TÖRIA, and Pooja B.

Each track reflects a unique interpretation of the compilation’s evocative theme.

Complementing these originals are four remixes that push boundaries further, blending the pulsating energy of Groovy Techno, the dark allure of Rainbow Goth, and the nostalgic hues of Synth Wave, by Astra Pentaxia, lisa tba, Cyber Witch and GIOSKI.

The artwork by Berlin-based visual artist and photographer Maria Louceiro beautifully encapsulates the essence of "Illusion(s)." With a striking double-exposure image, a haunting fusion of a cloaked figure and a serene landscape in shades of green and grey, it invites listeners to immerse themselves in a world of layered meaning and surreal soundscapes.

This compilation isn’t just music: it’s a journey through illusion(s) and reality.

BITE is the Berlin-based techno label co-founded by Hayden Payne (aka Phase Fatale) in 2018. Beginning with the debut collaborative EP by Silent Servant & Phase Fatale, the label aims to platform artists who operate outside the conventional preconceptions of techno and are united by an ambition to push the boundaries of electronic music. This drive is further exemplified by regular showcases at renowned institutions Berghain, Basement, and Tbilisi’s KHIDI as well as a multitude of clubs throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

With a vast artist roster from stalwarts such as Ron Morelli and Teste to contemporary talent from the likes of Pablo Bozzi and Gael, the eclectic variety of releases touches upon a range of styles along the moodier fringes of electronic music. BITE has proved itself as the imprint to watch. Fresh off the heels of their 5 year anniversary in 2023 culminating in the acclaimed triple LP compilation ‘Shedding Skin,’ BITE moves into more dancefloor territory with their next releases by label head Phase Fatale and remixes by Rrose. The display of the music is also represented in its visual prowess with cutting designs and colorways intended to take the sound into another dimension. From proper techno to synthpunk and to sparse minimalist industrial, BITE never fails to deliver fresh and razor-sharp sounds tying together the narrative of dance music.
