Downwell is a hard hitting electronic music project based out of Tbilisi, Georgia. The young producer and DJ has performed at venues in his native Georgia such as Khidi’s G2 & Bude. His style is typified by a masterful absorption and amalgamation of EBM, post-punk & techno influences. Downwell's first EP “I See Death in Your Eyes” was published via Oraculo records in Spain with subsequent contributions on v/as for: SCTR, Substantiv, Hex Recordings & Industrias Mekanikas out of Madrid.

BITE welcomes one of the most prominent talents from Georgia, Tbilisi’s fixture and KHIDI resident – OTHR.

The Georgian artist has already been making waves in Berlin by joining forces with Ancient Methods on occasions like their stellar b2b at the first BITE label night at Berghain last October.

With a background as a guitarist for metal bands, OTHR’s post-punk upbringing is ever-present in his moody productions. His earlier output ranges through a wide variety of sound, from acclaimed ambient to noise releases, while OTHR’s present style is defined by industrial-oriented techno, mutated vocals, and groovy distorted baselines.

With his debut release on BITE – Scythe Of Vyse, OTHR is doing what he does best. The EP delivers five sharp and powerful industrial techno tracks that sound both harmonious and rough. Rhythmic and heavy-hitting, the record features a remix from Kris Baha and provides a variety of tools for dark, sweaty basements. In short, OTHR’s most recent work is certain to create a setting for a cathartic dancefloor experience.

BITE is the Berlin-based techno label co-founded by Hayden Payne (aka Phase Fatale) in 2018. Beginning with the debut collaborative EP by Silent Servant & Phase Fatale, the label aims to platform artists who operate outside the conventional preconceptions of techno and are united by an ambition to push the boundaries of electronic music. This drive is further exemplified by regular showcases at renowned institutions Berghain, Basement, and Tbilisi’s KHIDI as well as a multitude of clubs throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

With a vast artist roster from stalwarts such as Ron Morelli and Teste to contemporary talent from the likes of Pablo Bozzi and Gael, the eclectic variety of releases touches upon a range of styles along the moodier fringes of electronic music.
