Wie Ein Gott seeks to answer that question in the form of the most fire underground music it can bring together under one digital temple roof. The odyssey of Johannes Stabel, the Berlin label was forged within the crucible of Stabel’s collaborative work on his own musical venture XTR Human. To craft such a body-jacking synthesis of gothic atmosphere and dance energy, he was brought into the company of a host of producers, artists and dark-minded individuals. Each burned as brightly as he for that perfect and eternal emotional transcendence to be found within the club, that rising swell from within that seems torn from the breast of Heaven itself.

Launched in 2018, BITE has become known for releasing modern body, techno, industrial and more, operating in between genres and focusing on cutting edge output. The label is set to release two big 12" - one from Phase Fatale and another from Tbilisi's OTHR. Cititrax proudly presents a highly anticipated 12” from An-i, the musical moniker for Berlin-based Korean American Doug Lee. Doug has been DJing and producing records for two decades under various aliases and collaborations. The ‘Rabble’ EP will be the third release for An-i, and the first one since Gutz in 2015. The return of An-i has found him in even more brazen territory than on previous releases. He moves between musicality and chaos while remaining intriguing throughout – a testament to his uniqueness and integrity. The opener, ‘Rabble’, tonally crude and menacing, backed with a relentless primitive machine rhythm and a psychotic vocal parodying mob mentality, points at the absurdity of take-down culture. ‘Rubble’ follows, a mighty stripped-down instrumental dub. The flip, ‘Chapel Perilous’, is a wandering spaced-out journey into the psyche. It reflects on loss and ultimately freedom from one’s ego identity, meandering an uncertain path that results in a spiritual epiphany. “When I am nothing, everything is me”…

An-i’s Rabble EP will be pressed on 160-gram fluorescent yellow vinyl and housed in a high gloss black and white sleeve featuring ink brush painting by the artist. The tenth year of the π project revives the label’s Split Series with its third instalment, Split#3 by Unhuman & New Frames.

This is the second appearance on our Various Artists catalog for both Berlin-based acts, featuring individual and collaborative tracks from the artists.

Infamous for their industrial/EBM-leaning techno signature sound, Unhuman (Manos Simotas) and New Frames (Mathis Mootz/The Panacea/Squaremeter and David Frisch) join forces to elevate their production style even further.

Dancefloor killers for heads of diverse tastes, featuring one solo track from each artist per side, along with three complementary collaborative compositions. Side A showcases New Frames’ fresh-sounding crossover of industrial and dubstep with the track “Dubplate,” accompanied by the hard-hitting collaborative stompers “Commander” and “3rd Eye Cataract.”
On the flip side, Unhuman delivers his own broken beat-industrial techno beast, “Cerberus,” while the release concludes with the final collaborative techno track, “New Force.”

Berlin based Producer/Dj Douglas Lee’s project ‘An-i is the outcome of melding the aesthetics of 80’s synth and industrial sounds alongside the thumping forward momentum of techno.
An-i has released 3 records for Veronica Vasicka’s Minimal Wave/Cititrax label and can also be seen on many one-off’s comps and collaborations with Alessandro Adriani, Unhuman and his project Bad News with LIES boss Ron Morelli himself to name a few.

Whilst An-I focuses on punk affected iterations of Dance music, Lee’s DJ career spans over 2 decades, having sustained several eras of Dance Music, he is capable of elevating dance floors through various states of abandon seemless moving between Techno, Disco and Noise across any era or tempo.

"Xirxe is a hymn to weirdness, to the monstrous feminine. An overturning of the vision of the woman-victim that comes to us from Greek mythology, in which courage to distance oneself from toxicity is interpreted as escape, weakness. In which defiance of patriarchal Olympian rules is seen as an act of vicious disobedience and not as vindication of one’s own choices. Xirxe takes a voice, recounts her choices, her courage and her vulnerability. Through self-awareness, she moves her choices and shapes her surroundings, dancing around obstacles, defining limits to be defended at all costs if violated Every body, in order to be crossed, needs consent."

BITE is the Berlin-based techno label co-founded by Hayden Payne (aka Phase Fatale) in 2018. Beginning with the debut collaborative EP by Silent Servant & Phase Fatale, the label aims to platform artists who operate outside the conventional preconceptions of techno and are united by an ambition to push the boundaries of electronic music.
