"Hello World. So for the past couple of years a load of work has gone into putting together 'Systems, Souls & Societies', a super cool R&M remixes album featuring four existing reworks and eight brand new remixes. Some of the finest artists around were commissioned, an eye watering amount of money was borrowed and a double vinyl gatefold release was put into production...

...then the double whammy of covid carnage and also the decision of every woman, man and child to release their music on vinyl in 2021 has meant unprecedented strain on the vinyl pressers. So the unfortunate news came back from the manufacturers that the album vinyl won't be delivered till November at the earliest. Sickener.

Alas the vinyl was paid for upfront and the monster debt still has to be repaid so on July 2nd the digital version of the album will be released early so that these epic dancefloor bombs are unleashed in time for the summer rave action and also raise a few £$€ to help keep the wolves at bay.

This album is pure fire, a huge deal for the R&M project, so a big thanks to all artists for delivering absolutely killer remixes. So pleased with how it turned out and hope you enjoy it too. Take care" - Randolph & Mortimer

Between nostalgic atmospheres and pressing rhythms our "Console Cowboys", as Case, the hacker protagonist of the novel (with the difference that here by console we mean synth, drum machine and distortion), now transport us into the darkest abyss, now in the infinite luminous space.

LETHAL RESPONSE

Deadlight District is a cold, instrumental descent into a war-ravaged Russian financial zone. It opens with glitched Soviet tones and a slow, distorted kick—like distant shellfire in concrete canyons. Metallic synths rise like broken sirens, layered over industrial rhythms that echo malfunctioning escalators and flickering LED tickers. Midway, detuned piano and ghostly pads evoke the hollow grandeur of abandoned boardrooms and shattered wealth. The climax erupts in glitchy breakbeats and collapsing sonic architecture. It fades into a low-frequency hum and the whistle of wind through broken glass. Stark, cinematic, and unforgiving.

Objector Trax, a DJ from Tbilisi, now based in Berlin, is the man responsible for the upcoming DVNTT release. His EP ‘Damdev’ contains 4 tracks featuring Icon aka Lilith. and Jan Soto. In his track “Let the bodies hit the floor” he used acapella from Drowing Pool’s track ‘Bodies’. The artist on his own words says about this track: ‘I used to listen to this track when I was a child and it reminds me of that time, the emotions, the desires that I had then. In short it is a nostalgic one.’ A track with a heavy kick, teasing changes with the bpm and a sensual snare, leading to an endless, erotic-like frenzy.

@StickyGround is delighted to bring you STG021, introducing The Spy! We have strongly wanted a release from this producer based in the Netherlands that has always had a very unique and characteristic sound. Sound you might have met before with a couple powerful tracks contributed on our Leaks VAs over the years (also under the SORN alias). Raw is the name of his game, with powerful electro influences and powerful melodies, and lots of groove in the beats. And thats what this EP is about.
On remix duties we have both a new and a well-know face: E-bony, who is a very promising actor of Tel-Aviv electronic music scene (as you will hear in his take), and Casper Hastings, a man clearly able to effortlessly provide powerful electro bangers with the same ease as he does with techno.

BITE is the Berlin-based techno label co-founded by Hayden Payne (aka Phase Fatale) in 2018. Beginning with the debut collaborative EP by Silent Servant & Phase Fatale, the label aims to platform artists who operate outside the conventional preconceptions of techno and are united by an ambition to push the boundaries of electronic music. This drive is further exemplified by regular showcases at renowned institutions Berghain, Basement, and Tbilisi’s KHIDI as well as a multitude of clubs throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

With a vast artist roster from stalwarts such as Ron Morelli and Teste to contemporary talent from the likes of Pablo Bozzi and Gael, the eclectic variety of releases touches upon a range of styles along the moodier fringes of electronic music.
