BADUÏZMS

I was browsing YouTube some night as one does and stumbled upon a segment of 2Pac in the studio where he talks about the process of making music, emphasising the need to get shit done. I tend to overanalyse and overcomplicate things when it comes to making music which leads me to sit on beats too long and in the process ‘lose’ a bit of the magic you initially get at the very start of making a beat. I wanted to incorporate this somehow as a bit of a reminder to myself that ‘it’s not that serious’. Striking a balance between what’s important to your music making process and realising that 99.9% of people won’t even notice these tiny ass details you spend hours on is something I’m still working on.

C -THRUS

This track came about when I was listening to a bunch of late 70s, early 80s dance boogie songs. Something about the synths, the guitars, the funk really got to me and thought  I could add my own spice to it, reinterpreting it in a more contemporary style.
