Scope Recordings closes 2013 with a staple release by label head Andrei Morant.  His single Falling Down is nothing short of black tie techno:  timeless and ingeniously simple.

The title track begins with a straightforward introduction that unexpectedly veers into a chromatic descent.  A sturdy bassline guides harmonizing stabs that tiptoe out of sight and back again.  Falling Down is effectual vintage.  

The B-side, Companion, has keys echoing off one another while castanets, claps, and ghostly conversation season an unwavering low end.  The track is inherently versatile and can lend an edge to a deeper set, or add complexity to a basic foundation. Due out mid-december
