Bitum @ Gaul

EMFFBS

is an ambisonic sound journey capturing an existing space as it transforms over time. Gradually, vague and elusive figures emerge from the familiar sonic landscape, becoming increasingly dense until dissolving into a deep drone piece.  

The composition was created using Ambisonics 3rd Order to craft an immersive spatial experience. To make it accessible to a wider audience, a binaural mix optimized for headphone listening is available.

"47°22'57.7"N 8°32’05.3"E" explores the tension between familiarity and the unknown — a sonic play with space, perception, and dissolution.

"VBAT" is an acousmatic composition that explores the hidden soundscape of bats. Using specialized microphones, I captured ultrasonic bat calls that are normally inaudible to the human ear. These recordings became the foundation of the piece, with the unique rhythms and textures of bat communication seamlessly woven into the composition, creating an organic and immersive sonic experience.
