Sekilas tentang EP 'Beranjak'

Empat tahun, tanpa terasa, saya masih bersama Alvin & I. Awalnya hanya lima kepala, sekarang menjadi delapan. Perlahan, saya menyaksikan mereka beranjak dewasa. Seringkali kami latihan hingga larut malam. Sekarang, waktu-waktu itu sudah menyusut. Sepi atau penuh panggung tak masalah bagi kami, hanya saja, saya merindukan masa-masa bercengkerama bersama mereka. Satu orang di antara kami sudah bekerja di Jakarta, 2 di antaranya baru saja menjadi sarjana, 5 orang lagi masih berkutat dengan perkuliahan (termasuk saya).

Bertemulah kami dengan masa 'libur'. Waktu itu, memang tidak ada panggung, saat kami ingin bertemu, pasti salah satunya sedang ada agenda atau apalah itu. Berujung gagal bertemu. Akhirnya hanya sampai pada materi/lagu baru yang membeku di ponsel saya. Lalu, mengendap di surat elektronik. Setelah itu, sudah. Namun, rasanya materi yang saya buat memang tidak cocok jika dimainkan bersama Alvin & I. Untuk itu, tidak ingin memaksakannya. Saya mencoba untuk mencairkan materi ini, merekam ulang, lalu memberikannya secara bebas.

Mungkin, lagu ini akan terkesan sebagai 'ungkap-rasa-rindu' untuk tujuh kepala lain yang melekat di benak saya. Mau bagaimanapun, merekalah yang menemani saya beranjak dewasa.

Saya tidak ingin menjadi 'solois' atau apapun itulah namanya. Saya hanya ingin mencairkan yang beku. Kalau lagu ini dianggap sebagai kawan, saya harap ia bisa setia menemani mereka yang kesepian.

"Selalu ada waktu untuk bisa kembali berbicara."
