&Bang Records announces a new release from Icelandic composer Bix  Sigurdsson named Triangular Matrix, The music composed to the works of artist Ásdís Spanó. 

The composition was written for Spanó's last gallery opening of her works titled Triangular Matrix which featured abstract paintings that explored the humankind’s effort to modify nature and to eventually bend nature to its will. Ásdís’ practice is devoted to this desire of controlling but it’s also open to the unexpected and the failure, which keep her research alive.
Coppery, golden and silver clouds enrich the painting spectrum and create light effects, while sparky triangles emerge, breaking diagonally into the paintings from outside of the frames with their sharp points, injecting a new dynamism into the peaceful white abstract landscape. The movement and the aggressiveness of these triangles brings into the paintings a new element: the urban environment, with its sharp edges, its velocity and its chaotic yet structured order.  Composer Bix Sigurdsson captured these elements perfectly in his tonal version of the Triangular Matrix.
