This song is our party song. This is our jam. It was inspired by late nights in our Brooklyn studio with all of our friends selecting and playing random disco and funk records from our collection.... from old James Brown to Chic to god knows what else. It talks about “A Real Woman,” but it’s really about anyone who’s real, who knows themselves, and who doesn’t give a fuck what anyone else thinks. It’s a celebration about embracing individuality because there’s nothing sexier than that.

Combining propulsive darkwave rhythms, shifting synth scales, haunting vocals and a wall of shivering shoegaze guitars, Bizou craft a sound entirely their own. Formed in 2017, Bizou have shared stages with Drab Majesty, Otzi, Hunny and many more - spinning gossamer waves of dark and bright sonic textures around goth and pop audiences alike. Their debut full-length, Tragic Lover, will be available this Spring on all platforms.
