If you were to ask, DADADISCO wouldn't name a single specific source of their inspiration. These two French gourmands take in and digest pretty much everything, from hard rock and heavy metal to synthetics and ambience... That means you can expect anything from Denis and Guillaume but cliché. Design, art, cinema and fashion are just as important to them as music. And it all comes through in their sets. These gents are very much the products of the "promiscuous and omnivorous" disco mayhem, forever imprinted in the collective memory of club culture as Bar25. It was through this jolly demonic mill, fumes and flames, thick and thin, that this combo blazed their way onto Berlin's raucous music scene. Veritable performers, their epic endless sets were somewhat of a cross between music and circus. When it closed for good, DADADISCO went global, spreading their retro-futuristic sound along with their overtly surrealist attitude. "Dada" in their name refers, of course, to a movement that in the mid-20th century famously repudiated and mocked all sorts of artistic conventions while emphasizing the illogical and absurd. DADADISCO keeps experimenting with genres and influences to discover and deliver their own unique blend of sexy electronica, always favouring spontaneity over etiquette. The name sticks on all of these counts.

Franz Scala’s sets are as diverse as the music he curates as label head of Slow Motion. Weaving smoothly between Italian Dance, Psychedelic Disco and Proto House, Franz quickly turns the dance floor into a vignette-tainted retro nostalgia rave fueled only by his music.

Born in Italy and now a resident of Berlin for a decade Franz has his roots in noise rock and elettronica but was led by the record collectors passion into acquiring a taste for modern and not so modern dance floor music. He frequently inspires dancers in clubs all over Europe with his eclectic blend of spacey House, New Wave, Italo and Acid speckled with hints of Electro and Chicago House. 

Aside from producing on his own imprint, he has releases on World Unknown, Bordello A Parigi, Bahnsteig 23, Tusk Wax, Mechatronica or Discodromo´s Cocktail d’Amore Music.

Franz is link to many events around the german capital such as the monthly Wrong Era, Italian Dance Wave and Italorama night in Panorama Bar, Magic Waves or New Dance Fantasy Festival. Beside long time collaboration with Sameheads he is regular dj at Griessmuhle and Salon zur Wilden Renate.

In 2013 he joined Dimitri SoEmotional in the “Studio Luce” project

What a wonderful weekend and an incredibly warm meeting of great people at the Kater. A little late, I was able to plug in the recorder and round off this wonderful time with my set early on Sunday morning. With the usual refreshing and energetic synth wave and Italo sound, the whole time in and around the Kater was simply surreally beautiful. Thank you all for this memory!

Was für ein schönes Wochenende und unglaublich herzliches Aufeinandertreffen toller Menschen im Kater. Mit etwas Verspätung konnte ich das Aufnahmegerät anschließen und am frühen Sonntagmorgen diese wunderbare Zeit mit meinem Set abrunden. Mit gewohnt erfrischendem und energiereichem Synth Wave und Italo Sound wirkte die gesamte Zeit im und um den Kater einfach surreal schön. Danke an euch alle für diese Erinnerung!

I was invited by a dear friend Gabe to come play records with his community at the Agora shop that he's now working at in Downtown LA. This is the originally intended 2 hour set from what turned into a wild 8 hour session with some fun participation from some local legends as well. If you're curious about the rest.... get in touch. 

Gabe and I met in the early days of building the Robot Heart Residency space in Oakland. He showed up with his partner at the time and they were so open and so kind and curious and their energy in this time continues to inspire me. 

It was an honor to share music with him and the Agora community. Thank you Gabe, Luke and crew for having me! If you're in LA, go and check out the shop - they have a well curated, interesting selection and it is a beautiful space.

MULIK is one of the pioneers of Tech House in Germany. A long-time residency in world  famous and legendary club "Dorian Gray" at Frankfurt airport, gigs around the globe from Africa to Asia and back to Europe, festivals such as "Love Parade"  in Berlin, "Street Parade" in  Zurich and "World Club Dome" in Frankfurt, Frankfurt's famous DJ radio of the 90s "HR3 Clubnight" or his contribution to the Dorian Gray CD eternalize his work in the squad of DJs. A continuous list of projects and tracks has been released throughout the years including media control charting remixes and his first album "The DNS Biscuits" which appeared in new disguise "MULIK" on Swedish Label Dansant distribution Sony. Now a new chapter begins with "Anti Ego Music".  Fresh tunes are on their way...
