Collab Info

Credits: Main theme and setting and most of the percussive elements by Bzur, arranged by Bjporter. Congas arranged and patches modified / layered by Bjporter - the rest of the percussion is programmed and designed done by Bzur with minor mixing tweaks by bjporter. Vocal Chorus and Ambient bass sounds in the intro and outro by Bjporter - arranged by both Bjporter and Bzur. Solo by Bzur - based on solo started by Bjporter but fit better in the theme. Picture by Bjporter. Title by Bjporter.
	
How it worked: The collab started out with bzur creating the main theme, and setting of the piece. Bjporter got a bit overwhelmed by the virtuosity of Bzur… and took a while to get something back to him, but managed to come up with an arrangement that added a flair of drama, mystique and tribal depth. Bzur then fine tuned this to fit better in the theme, removing complexity, redundancy, and adding looser rhythm and organic, hand crafted notes. Bjporter took the final mix and made minor tweaks, and error corrections, image, descriptions, and uploading.

An oldschool EDM with a little more modern sounding edge, repeating a melodic element until the end with other sounds to accompany it, just like early 90's trance. It starts off with the officers on Space Ship Aalto having a jolly good dance. They are headed for a planet. Waking up the next morning - a bit achy might I add - they are in a mythical, mysterious, and magical world to explore. Amazing creatures, vegetation, and flora. After experiencing some buffer size issues with Space Station Aalto, they decide to head back to ship. While on the journey through the planet's stratosphere, they become restless, and dance the journey away....

Close your eyes, put away the celery for once, and try to imagine you arrived on this strange planet world. Kick back... rub some coconut oil on your face, let loose. The exploration begins.

bjporter - Planet Adventure on Space Ship Aalto

Brief: This song was made using only U-He Podolski free virtual synthesizer VST, with Cubase 6 - although ANY daw could do. I used some native and free effects. **NO SAMPLES... NO RECORDING** 

Continuing from OSC51's adventure... this song tells the full story of what they found on the planet. The tribal people there thought the ship was an invader, so they played solemn music, hopeless against a flying metal 'god' - a solemn last jam out. The crew of the space ship however were stunned by the natural structures (aka plants, animals) of the planet - a self sustainable biosphere and system. Even more impressed were they by the complex micro structure of each organism capable of sentient life, and self-repair - all powered from solar energy by a strange yellow star. In the end both rejoiced and had a jolly good dance.

Story (Final happy ending to the trilogy of Nature was the machine, and Space ship Aalto)
-The robots chatter for a moment, then realize they are getting close to planet BongThong X-69100 - their home planet - which also looks very similar to the Swiss countryside. The exit hatch is open, and they fly out, and parachute down to earth. A Supersaw melody is heard in the distance, getting louder, and louder. Dancing in the air ensues… on the ground, then in the pubs, and fields. These Feldspar model robots really put out a great emulation of the jp-8000. It was a good adventure, but a happier ending to the people of BongThong people.
