"I Need You" was originally written in '08 and performed/recorded live around the country for a decade before making it onto BJSR's debut LP "A. The Creative" in April 2019. Going by his production entity “reallyreal”, Joey Beach got his hands on the stems shortly before the close of the decade and transformed the song into a tonal landscape that harkens to a different area.  This Americana-inspired interpretation of the pop ballad replaces the synths, strings and drums with harmonica, tambourine & slide steel to paint a heart-wrenching portrait of a hopeless romantic's realization that they are not an island. BJSR’s passionate tenor lead vocals, lush harmonies remain from the original and hover over Beach’s bent guitar licks, highlighting the emotional back & forth of the lyrics.

Words can’t begin to express what it feels like to fall in and out of love for the first time, but music can.  Michigan-born, Ohio-based BJSR uses his ‘vocal chords and six strings’ to do just that in this enlightened take on the singer/songwriter LP.

In each of the 10 self-produced tracks, the charismatic troubadour touches on tough topics and leans into genres and soundscapes that are familiar yet surprising.
