Diving deep in organic techno folds and mind-expanding origamis of sound, the Berlin-based Parisian jockey pulls out a proper mesmeric listen by way of introduction, steering us in troubled waters, halfway languorous 4x4-powered brainwaves and dubbed-out, loungey tactility. The penultimate podcast of the year will be provided by the France-born Berlin-based artist, Olivia Mendez. Olivia is a record proxenete, dealing grooves across territories her unique sound can reach. Developing her sound continuously, Olivia showcases a vast musical inspiration across genres in her selections. Her sets are a cross-pollination of the old school with the avant-garde, aiming to keep the magic encoded in music alive. Olivia is also the founder of the FLINTA collective KONVENT, intending to create positive spaces to reinvestigate and elevate the discourse on contemporary feminism, through site-specific music and art intervention.

Her selections lay a foundation that transports her listeners to a dark and cemented energy-filled space. A diverse arrangement of influences and genres ensures that audiences stay attentive and curious towards each of her performances.

For this mix, she wanted to raise awareness about Ukrainian refugees and the fact that war is still ongoing.

What's up everyone!! My name is Santiago Romero-Salas aka Romerosalsa. I am originally from Manila which is the capital of the Philippines and I moved to Madrid in 2021. I've been collecting records that span a wide range of genres and I've also been DJing for about 4 years now.

The mix at hand was recorded sometime last year at Radial Store in Madrid. Vinyl only and it features some of my favorite artists and releases from the past year. It also serves as a sneak peek into a special night that I will be asked to do in the upcoming season so please stay tuned.

The past 8 months, I have been in the Philippines away from all the action in Spain and in Europe in general. I am itching to get back to play and dance in clubs and to reunite with the people of Phase who have shown me nothing but love, respect and admiration from Day One to which I am so grateful.

This mix is an ode to techno of the mid 90’s/early 2000’s. Although we were too young to hear these tracks on the dance floor when they first came out, this sound is a massive source of inspiration for us.
