This track is personal. The idea for 'Silhouette' came from someone I used to see. She was a dancer, and when she performed, she would just own the stage, and naturally, she got a lot of male attention.
I remember her explaining it to me once. She said, "Don't ever worry about that. They get the image. You get the real me."
That line, "They get the image, you get the real me," never left me. This song is about that. It's about that sacred, intimate part of yourself that you save for the one person who truly sees you, while the rest of the world just gets the performance.
This is for anyone who knows that feeling. Hope it resonates.
