Our first Stripped Recordings release of 2019 is here and we proudly present an artist we've watched from afar whilst he's been working his magic for labels such as Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat and Nick Warren's Hope Recordings. In 2018 he released one of the years biggest progressive house records on Nick Warren's latest imprint The Soundgarden the track "Sandwaves" was played by a large cross section of dj's around the globe and still is to this day.

The artist we are talking about here is Egyptian producer Black 8 from the nations capital Cairo (who's production career started in 2006). Here he has delivered his first Original track since that mega hit to us, and we are honoured to have him and "Valley Of The Kings" {Original Widescreen Edition} which comes as a stand-alone track clocking in at just under 11 minutes that has had us pressing play over and over and we hope that you will all do the same once you hear it.

onedotsixtwo keeps the worldwide progressive flame burning bright in 2020 with its latest release, bringing together the finest talent from 3 continents. Renowned Buenos Aires-based DJ/Producer Sebastian Busto makes his label debut with December and The Miracle, and the label enlists the remix talents of Dmitry Molosh, Zankee Gulati and Lèrr to create an array of stunning interpretations across another exceptional 5-track onedotsixtwo package.

The pulsating energy of 'December' is immediately mesmerising as Sebastian Busto creates the perfectly beautiful dreamy atmosphere that he is renowned for. Elegantly layered melodies float and flow with flawless precision, as his unique musical vision is showcased magnificently. Following on, 'The Miracle' dives deeper with a wonderfully evocative percussive groove and equally blissful melodic layering that, once again, perfectly displays this Argentine artist’s immense talents to perfection. Having previously released on the likes of Balkan Connection, The Soundgarden and Movement, Sebastian Busto’s onedotsixtwo debut will be a 2020 highlight for sure.

The first December remix comes from Belarusian DJ/Producer Dmitry Molosh. Celebrated for his inimitable progressive sound, Dmitry is at the forefront of the new wave of the current scene as one of its most talented forward thinking electronic artists. His stunning remix is fuelled with funk and fire to create an utterly enthralling ride fuelled with rising anticipation and spine-tingling euphoric elation. 

Through his love of exploring progressive realms of music, the Sydney-based Australian DJ/Producer Zankee Gulati is rapidly making his mark on the scene. A blossoming production career has already seen him exhibit his immense talents on the likes of Clinique, Soundteller, Particles, Visceral, Balkan Connection, and most recently, The Soundgarden. His remix of December has seen exclusive early support from Hernan Cattaneo on his Resident radio show, and it is easy to see why. Deeply hypnotic and with a wonderfully intricate arrangement this is masterfully melodic music of the highest order.

Completing this expansive 5-track package is an utterly blissful remix of The Miracle courtesy of Lèrr. This Montenegrin DJ/Producer is recognised for his unique style combining groovy, deep, melodic, progressive vibes. His enchanting musical creations have appeared on Balkan Connection, Sound Avenue, Asymmetric, Trndmsk and more so far in 2020, and his deeply delicious reworking of The Miracle stands out as one of his finest yet.

Release Info: 
The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Ruben Karapetyan to the label or his debut single. Born in Armenia and now based in California, Ruben has a long history in electronic music. Best known for his DJ Darky alias, the Hollywood resident shared the stage with famous artists like Sasha and Digweed, Sven Vath and Orbital as part of lineups at legendary events such as Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) , Together as One (biggest NY party in America ), AgeHa in Tokyo Japan, VNVNC Concert Hall in St. Petersburg and Pravda in Moscow, Russia. Operating under a variety of production monikers, Ruben has remixed The Cure's 'Forest', while his original productions were routinely championed by the underground's top tastemakers. Now following a ten-year hiatus Ruben returns to electronic music via Movement Recordings with 'Gignesthai', alongside remixes from Stan Kolev and Emi Galvin.

Rounding out the release and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Gignesthai' is label artist Emi Galvan. Now making his sixth appearance on the Greek imprint, the Argentinean producer also lays claim to releases on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Nick Warren's The Soundgarden. Known for being selective in his projects, Emi now returns to Movement for just his third remix of the year. A DJ friendly beginning of spongy kicks and effervescent percussion leads to the introduction of buoyant basslines and rhythmic pulses. A perfect balance of warmth and drive provides the foundation for haunting motifs, teased across the first act as layers of percussion push the energy higher. Astral aesthetics highlight the main break, both quirky and rhythmic they elevate mood, eventually resetting the groove for a pulsating drop and mystical finale. An inspired remix from Emi which caps off a welcome return to electronic music for Ruben Karapetyan, an artist you are certainly going to be hearing much more from in the future.

Black 8 started production in 2006.
2013- Black 8 created a track (Nostalgia) for Hernan Cattaneo’s label (Sudbeat) which was the first compilation for Sudbeat’s label. The track was in a compilation of 16 EP with the most the popular and famous music producers. The track (Nostalgia) was ranked #1 on the beatport and the most heard track in the progressive house music genre. After the hit of this track, he did an EP for Sudbeat containing 5 tracks already supported by the label boss himself around the world.

2013- He made a single track called (Too Far Away To Reach) and this was the spark between Nick Warren and Black 8, in which let Nick to put an eye on him. Nick Warren played the track in many events and nailed it with many people. 2013- Fields Of Gold- was the first track signed with (Hope Recordings), it was released with BETOKO (Left Field- Song Of Life). Nick chose this track then to be released in a compilation on Hope Recording’s Anniversary (xv) from 13 tracks.
2014- Black 8 nailed it and got massive attention from Nick Warren with another track called (One More Day To Regret), which Nick chose to be a first CD album for The Sound Garden Vol.1.
2015- Black 8’s dream was to make his music heard worldwide. In 2014, he started the dream working on an AP (When The Sky Turns Red). The dream came true in 2015 by the label boss himself, Hernan Cattaneo, he has played it around the world and was a big success! Especially, when “TNT” and “When The Sky Turns Red” were considered a grand slam in the biggest events (“Moon park”, “Never get out of the boat- WMC MIAMI”, “The Gallery Club, Ministry Of Sound-London” and many more. Black 8 was then back to Hope Recordings with a new massive EP (Before The Rising Dawn) which was a mainstay on all of Nick Warren’s shows. (Before The Rising Dawn) was supported by John Digweed as well on his big radio show Transition (613). 
He also picked it to be played at the 15th Annual Sunset Cruise- Miami in 2016 and chose it as one of the top 100 tracks of 2016.
2017- Black 8 back to Hope Recordings with another slamming EP called- Moses Mountain. The EP was a boom and Nick Warren first played it in Argentina and due to the huge and massive success, it remained to be one of the main tracks to be played on his tours worldwide.
2017- Black 8 music heads to Solomun. He played “TNT” at “Diynamic In The Jungle- The BPM Music Festival” and “Heart Nightclub- Miami” and many more.
Black 8 plays his music at Space and he’s looking forward to tour around the world delivering his music.
