I love the mechanical bass vibes, fairly unique

I am in awe. The level of creativity in this track went through the roof. From the perfectly intertwined rythmic placements, to the somewhat unsettling organic percussions and synth shots that create this coherent and very much alive sound-space. So dark and complex, yet so comfortable to listen to. And SO DARN CATCHY that you can't help but biting your lips, frowning with satisfaction and swaying your head back and forth. Krankbrother have been throwing infamous parties all over the UK & Europe for the past 6 years, regularly hosting the likes of Four Tet, Daphni, Mr. G, Gerd Janson, Paul Woolford, Roman Flugel, Levon Vincent, Derrick Carter, John Talabot & Nina Kraviz, amongst others.

Brothers Danny & Kieran Clancy now launch Krankbrother Records as an outlet for their own productions, and those of their close associates and friends from the industry. Drawing on their experience in organising their parties, the vinyl and digital label will encompass music from across the entire electronic spectrum, from disco to techno and everything in between. 

The inaugural release comes from Krankbrother themselves, a three track single that encompasses the many facets of their musical direction, from the driving and low-slung disco house vibes of “Unreserved” to the uplifting after-hours sounds of “Suburban Scandal”.

Kieran Clancy explains, “We’ve been looking to set up our own imprint for a while now, with the huge success of our parties, and especially with us breaking out of the capital city and into other UK cities, festivals and events further afield.  We also wanted our own platform for our Krankbrother productions, and to have complete control on the music and artistic design of the label. We’ve had some amazing responses to our releases on Nice Age and Classic Music, so wanted to really indulge in our own label.  We are also committed to launching new talent, so expect to hear new music from fledgling producers like Jody Barr and Joe Munday very soon”.

Every now and then, Gianluca Felline vanishes without a trace somewhere deep in the Swiss forests and mountains—the untouched wild Alps. No calls. No texts. Turns out, he’s been jamming with extraterrestrials again.

This LP is the result: spacey grooves, organic high-tech analogue instruments, and a sound that’s firm but never harsh. Close your eyes, let the sounds take over, and you’ll find yourself in a place where time doesn’t exist—where moving rhythmically to music comes naturally, guided by curious frequencies from beyond.

Joining him on this mission are fellow astronaut friends Fedo, Gals, and Gudj—a new member of the cabin crew (you’ll definitely hear from him again soon)—along with Ollie Ballyn, helping steer this spacecraft deeper into the endless journey within your mind.
