Eleven albums, innumerable releases and decades of Djing into his career, the New York-turned-Berlin resident continues to push further into his own sound, craft, and mind. For those fortunate enough to be present for one of Fred's cathartic, physical and spiritual DJ sets, the dance floor is not just a place for enjoyment, but for potential.
That opportunity for potential – his own, yours, that of our collective consciousness – has long-been the earnest pursuit of Fred P, channeled expertly through his evolved and deeply personal exploration of house and techno music. His futurist approach is inspired as much by the scene's bonafide revolutionaries, Frankie Knuckles to David Morales and Danny Tenaglia, as his own futurist philosophy, weaved together from a glorious patchwork inspired by an ever- expanding network or thinkers, collaborators, and international encounters.

Having steadily developed his sound over the course of the past 25 years, Deepchord’s (Rod Modell) intricate constructions and engrossing aural explorations have established him as a potent force in music production. It goes without saying that we are hugely honoured to have him on board at such a special time in the label’s history.

As a prelude to his highly anticipated Soma debut LP, Hash-Bar Loops, scheduled for release in early July, we present you with Amsterdam Remnants – an epic two track EP of what remains from his extended sojourn in the city. Whilst both tracks on the EP are not featured on the album itself, they retain the characteristic warmth, depth and stunning atmosphere of what lies therein.

First track Amsterdam Remnant 1 mixes up a spiralling blend of synthetic, layered harmonics, cloaking a deep, rhythmic percussive vibe. The depth of sound is truly staggering; subtle interference with underlying frequencies generates an entrancing experience which perfectly demonstrates the masterful control Modell is renowned for.

Amsterdam Remnant 2 swells and shimmers with the sound of rushing waves, held together by a solid, low frequency bass beat which rumbles and repeats. Descending sound patterns slowly rise from their filtered state into hypnotic, whirling beauty, striking a perfect balance of ambient luxury and lo-fi techno.

After completion of this material, Modell decided to ceremoniously give up the master cut to the murky depths of an Amsterdam canal as an act of gratitude to the city – “giving back to the place that inspired the music” – a self-effacing and sentimental gesture which perfectly reflects the deep thought and careful consideration put into this release. We can’t wait to let you hear it.

This release is gifted by a special remix from someone who need no introductions today : Chris carrier aka Mr Georget delivers a dope remix of one of the track that Franck already released on Home Invasion called Yabba.. The idea was to give to our favourite remixers (cause we got some good guys coming up aswell) the freedom to choose one of the tracks that they really like from the label.Mr Georget gave us a deep and hypnotic feeling on this one and we already love it it here; that’s why we choosed to press it has a 45 rpm full side to give him the best sound and dynamics. 
On the other side Franck give us 809, a track wich is the result of the sync between the 909 and the 808 together when it comes to speak about drum and some synths delighted by his own secret.
Bugz is a simple ruff track coming out from the MPC wich we can ear from the drums, and some stabs samples coming thru his Vermona filter and passing by some external effects.. in and out its all about the jam here ☺
