His love for music began at the buoyant age of 11 when he taught himself to play the drums. Being raised in the metropolitan city of Chicago, Blk Jonaz inspiration derives from an array of music genres. Growing up listening to R&B, Rock,Hip-Hop and Gospel music has shaped his style and creativity bringing an edge to the industry that is incomparable to any other up and coming artist.  His inclined passion and fine tuned ear is what drives his eagerness and love for music. 
Commonly referred to as Poppa Jonaz, Blk Jonaz has been a recording artist since 2013. He is a passionate lyricist who creates music that will captivate listeners as they tune into the flow of his melodic voice.
