Krake Festival introduces: Milan Hermess

Recorded live at Krake Festival 2020, up next for the KrakeCast series is @milanhermess, who is part of Mechatronica- a Berlin-based record label, promoter and collective. Originally from the Netherlands, where Milan hosted techno parties in his hometown of Arnhem, he has been residing in Berlin since 2011. Heavily influenced by the West Coast Sound of Holland and Berlin’s nightlife culture, his mixes touch upon all genres within alternative dance music. Milan Hermess brings an intense fusion of acid & electro,, new wave & techno, obscure disco & italo; always playing that shit that makes you dance!

KrakeCast 016: Milan Hermess - Mechatronica

Rodrigo Agüero aka Dying, is a DJ and Producer born in Argentina.

In 2008 he started DJing in the techno scene of Buenos Aires and his career has transcended internationally performing in clubs such as Tresor, Der Stur, Studio 21, Cocoliche, Under Club, Bahrein, Niceto Club, Avant Garten, King Club, Osa Club sharing booth with artists such as DJ Surgeles, Tadeo, Benjamin Damage, Philippe Petit, Christian Wunsch, Jonas Kopp, Andres Zacco, and Seph among others.

In 2012 he starts to release his collaborations in digital format and during the same year he releases his first reference vinyl "Conviccion" with his partner Barakat on the French label CLFT with remixes by Mattias Fridell, MTD and Jeroen Search.
Later in 2016, the duo gets their second vinyl release titled "Modernismo" with the collaboration of Bleak on the French label Knotweed Records.
In turn in 2018 they released together their third reference vinyl titled "El Sueño de una Teoria", obtaining the support of great artists of the world scene.
This allowed the project "Dying & Barakat" to make their first duo tour in several European countries, which would lead them to present their LIVE set at the mythical Tresor club in Berlin. In 2019 they release their fourth vinyl release "Exploracion Desconocida" on Axaminer Records from Czech Republic.

This year Dying presents their album "Ciudad Incognita", a release celebrating the 10th anniversary of Knotweed Records and “Different World” on Sungate Records and "Music Over Midnight" on Detroit Classic Gallery showing an evolution with different visions of techno, taking a journey through sounds without limits.
The constant advance in experimentation and music production influenced by early dub, electro, 90’s and 00’s tribal techno has led him to develop a particular vision with a futuristic perspective on electronic music, his productions explore exclusively ambient, deep and techno.

Codec 992 Podcast #047 - Dying

Marseille based producer, Damien Lapéna launched Elyas project on Modularz in 2012.
During this period he had the chance to play in prestigious places in Europe such as: Tresor,Berghain, Corsica studio, Cassette club, as well as in New York (National Underground).
In these events he shared the line-up with artists such as: Function, Pfirter, Developer, Grindvik ...

He released over 30 vinyls with different projects and collaborated with artists such as: Jerome Sydenham, Perc, Dustin Zahn, Developer and many more.
After a musical break, new things will happen in 2021, new projects as Elyas arrive on legendary Soma records and on Ben Sims imprint Symbolism. He also launch 13130 Space project on his new label Seclusion early 2021, some releases already out notably with some Detroit artists: "Mark Flash", "Hlx1", Blak Tony, Alan Oldham "Dj T-1000"as well as artists from the current techno scene like: Samuel L Session, Edit Select, Mal Hombre...

He is now delivering the fifth chapter of this Black owls journey.

With a love for the dub reggae sounds and the earth-shattering bass frequencies of Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and King Tubby, Brian Mitchell AKA Tallmen 785 went down a musical pathway that eventually led to the visionary techno sounds of Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, Basic Channel and Sandwell District.

On his first release for the Kneaded Pains label, these dub-wise leanings can be found across three tracks on the ‘Head Down’ EP.

The Berlin based artist has previously released on Scuba’s Hotflush Recordings, Rhythm Nation Records and Off Recordings, and deftly constructs a trio of deep and hypnotic techno tracks for Dense & Pika’s imprint that ooze sophistication and class.
