 "On his first outing on DJ Butcher's Chop Shop imprint, Le Visiteur has clearly got his sights set on outdoor parties. The Sunshine EP is nothing less than a celebration of the kind of dusty, down-low disco that sounds great blasting out of sound systems on Adriatic boat parties, Ibizan terraces and impromptu pub garden rave-ups. All three tracks are killer, from the sinewy, string-drenched, hands-in-the-air disco of "Groove", to the gospel disco brilliance of "Let The Sunshine". "My Gang", a suitably heavy rearrangement of Hamilton Bohannon's "Me & My Gang", is pretty hot, too."

Shakedown was created at Heavy Roc Music recording studios when a group of friends from all over the globe got together for a night, Seja, Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint) and Johnny Mackay (Fascinator). A round robin of instruments, singing + a bottle of whiskey later, and Shakedown was born. Shakedown is the product of good friends getting loose on a hot summers night. There was no end product in mind, only to have fun, hang out, and make music together.

Here’s the second EP of ‘Fastlane’, one of the summer’s party starters courtesy of two pillars of the French scene Romuald & Madji’k AKA The Spimes (R.I.P.).

An unstoppable funky disco thumper in its original version, ‘Fastlane’ turns here into a widescreen FM ballad produced with close collaborator Bastian Belde. Then on the remix front, the ubiquitous Mighty Mouse strips things down tastefully without losing groove, nor punch. London’s White Heat resident Marcus Harris turns out a dubbed out re-interpretation nodding at the 80s’ discerning NYC dancefloors. Lastly Stuttgart’s Final DJs fuse classic house and pumping disco with savoir faire.

A true soul man and a gentleman, not far off being a living legend, Romuald has been an active singer/songwriter/producer on the Parisian scene for well over a decade, not mentioning several NYC escapades that led him to develop songs for 50 Cent, Kelly Rowland, Keri Hilson… and heavyweight hitmakers The Clutch. Romuald co-wrote and featured on many projects, from The Paradise’s French Touch classic ‘In Love With You’ with Alan Braxe, to Ernest St Laurent, Mr Gonzo… He even shyly kicked off a solo career in the very early days of Kitsuné.
Madji’k, the musician/composer from down south (Toulouse), is another familiar virtuoso born in Funky Town. After catching the rave bug in the 90s, he started to write tracks and hasn’t stopped producing since, having released singles on Diamond Traxx, 20,000 ST, Fantômas, Nervous, Henry Street, Fogbank, Deeptown, Tallhouse…

The two comperes, under their The Spimes moniker, were first spotted in 2013 when they joined forces with Alan Braxe and released the ‘Time Machine’ EP together (which held on the flip rare emotional gem ‘One More Chance’).  
Here they’re at it again with ‘Fastlane’, a brand new addictive disco cut lifted straight outta NY’s Studio 54 and of course led by Romuald’s golden voice and luxurious vocal arrangements (he performs all vocal parts).

You know you’re getting older when the artists you’re watching emerge start to be younger than you are. Some people might find that a bit startling but as long as the talent coming through the ranks is producing music at the quality that Heir is we couldn’t care less how old he is.

A prodigious talent hailing from Stockholm - [Ed. there must be something in the water there] - the 21 year old multi-instrumentalist, DJ, producer, singer and songwriter has had quite the 2015, serving up remixes for the likes of Prides, Montmartre, Goldbass, Tobtok and Vinjette whilst beginning to forge a fierce reputation for his own material. Also operating under the names Skogsrå and Charlie England - he's half English - his debut track 'Now You See Me' astonishly racked up over 710,000 plays on Soundcloud quickly garnering him an army of fans as his sound went viral.  For his latest trick he's hooked up with  fellow swede, Oliver Nelson for winter banger 'Found Your Love' which having landed on Perfect Havoc we've been unable to get out of heads or off of our playlist. Backed by remixes from Blonde, Kill Them With Colour and Plastic Plates, Celsius we thought that there was no better time than now to welcome the meteorically rising producer to the DT fold getting him to deliver a set of selections guaranteed to give you that Friday feeling.
