Ugly Tarantino decided to drop a surprise winter mixtape EP because they had nothing better to do.  The first track off of the upcoming mixtape which is titled - Obsidian Kings In A Reign Of Ashes - is a freestyle the duo pulled out of their collective asses the other night while talking a bunch of noise about SPOILERS and The Force Awakens.  It's called S.E.O. aka Search Engine Optimization over a Czarface beat. 

The rest of the mixtape should drop in a couple weeks.  Until then, enjoy this!

S.E.O. (Ugly Tarantino Czarface Free Style)

This instrumental always had an other-wordly fairytale quality to it. So when coming up with a concept to write to, it seemed pretty natural to go with a mythical approach. It sounds like a waking dream, something you could go to sleep or wake up to. 

Fables (In a Dream Freestyle)

This was the second song that was recorded exclusively for the mixtape. We always wanted to use the track for a freestyle and decided to come up with a concept verse loose prose flow. It had been raining for 2 weeks straight in Portland and the first thing that kmass came up with on the spot was talking about girls he used to date. Gums followed suit and it was a rap/wrap.

Ghosts of Ex Gf's Passed (Now I Gotta Wet'cha Freestyle)

Another track that didn't make the final cuts for the LP. Gums always felt the intro was a little too long. But kmass felt that it was a perfect lead-in.  Kenneth wrote his verse and chorus in Venice over the summer when the unfortunate news of Bill Cosby's troubles was setting social media on fire.   The title isn't a celebration of assholery or rape culture, it's meant to be about the dumbing down of society and individuals through outside sources.

This track was original supposed to go on the Ugly Tarantino debut vinyl. Unfortunately they couldn't get it done in time and it was kind of hanging around. The demo was recorded the day before kmass and Gums recorded master vocals for the debut LP. It was floating around in limbo until this release. Originally it just had lead vocals for a verse. It really came together when Gums added the chorus and kmass went back and recorded his part for the chorus.
