Please enjoy the following show reel. It has been compiled to be heard as one narrative arc, but if you wish to skip through it, that is totally fine.

Some notes about this show reel below - as many as I can write in hopes they convey a level and quality of work you will consider supporting, as I look to develop my creative practice and create a new body of work, whilst developing best practice for working as differently abled, neurodiverse Musician and Creator.
Peters Blackett's Retrospective Showreel:  A compilation mix of songs and tunes from a 25+ year career in music.
All songs written or co-written by Peters Blackett with the exception of the Bengali and Polish Folk songs, and the Rev Hammer songs 'Put it on Red' and 'Bonnie Besses'. 
Featuring The Amigos, Black Cat Magic and others, 23 songs trimmed down to a wild journey from the English Civil War to the far reaches of the Cosmos! 
The reel begins with a dramatic opening from the Freeborn John Album, recorded in 1997 with Rev Hammer and a hugely talented cast including Eddi Reader who sings one of the songs on this reel, Bonny Besses! My guitar solo opens the show followed by some stomping folk tunes from the Levellers and moves through some soulful funk and acoustic songs. Then there is a passage of soundsystem infused festival mayhem from the Amigos. Some lost demos from a project making pop music where I show my ability to work to order with modern studio techniques. 
On display throughout is my stylistic preferences for strong rhythm, counterpoint harmony choruses, big hooks and anthemic, uplifting music offset with some emotional reaching, yearning blues and reflective pieces. 
I also include some tunes from a community song project showing my love for bridging cultures and celebrating life through music.
Black Cat Magic finish up the reel with some psychedelic swamp stomp before the folk sensibilities of Maddy Prior and Simon Friend battle it out in a 17th century comic tragedy.
This show reel is one version of tying up loose ends and clearing a creative path for my new work starting in Autumn 2023.

Charles The Spider (Final 2)

Uplifting tune and Black Cat Anthem. It is dedicated to the tenacity of the human spirit which transcends atrocities of death camps and questioning why some survived and some did not. The death camps in question where initially inspired by those in the Boer war in St. Helena and other places around 1900.  It  isn't so gloomy, but on a lighter note the song was originally about wondering about where the most  'inappropriate' place would be to make a move on someone romantically.

From the North, East, West, and South - check the speaker behind the speech and the dirty little mouths that prey....x ( that is where the word NEWS comes from ....I know!!..sorry if you did, but I only found out recently..it is like the compass on the top of old gazettes, Bugles or Heralds..or whatever those daily world affairs issues publications were called before they came up with the word NEWS! saying they were bringing stories for the north east west and south then they abbreviated it to NEWS>. )
It's Them And US but we don;t know who they are?? Come on, it is the most obvious paranoid anthem ever like. I think if we don't know who they are, they are not that important like, in a kind of NWO, Global Cabal, probably trying to kill us kind of way - aww shucks, those Shadowy types make Me misty eyed for Mesopotamia..in that it is a word which begins with ME..hehe :-)

2. Them And Us

Strip tastic sensual drive..or that was where I was going..enjoy -kick off..slip off your outer garments until you can express yourself..;-)
All these demos are only here for alimited time..I only say this cos I don't want  anyone thinking that I think these nare the finished thing..but I totally think there is something about them )))
