After a string of diverse releases Russian producer HEFT arrives on Modern Conveniences for the second release in our MODCONS series. Appreciate The Love’s delicate atmospherics and minimal drum work border on the edge of ambient, transporting the listener to a wistful headspace. 3VS return to the label with an energetic remix reminiscent of Djrum’s more experimental work, while newcomer Phasebash delivers a gorgeous and reflective interpretation of the title track.

The main course is a title track, heavily inspired by the autonomic works from the artists like Kid Drama & DBridge, created by an upcoming producer straight from Moscow - HEFT. 

The remixes were done by Regression Media head honcho - @dominic-ridgway, @rebellion-electronics - @eusebeia, @madikma, and @iam-istota.

Each of the people involved in the project have twisted the original in their own way, adding even more flavor to an already excellent course. Each variant of the Non-Return is different, and should serve an excellent addition to any fan of not only autonomic, but also different tastes of 170 drum & bass.

CRANE004 - HEFT - Non-Return EP previews

Cranes are a family, Gruidae, of large, long-legged and long-necked birds in the group Gruiformes. There are fifteen species of crane in four genera. Unlike the similar-looking but unrelated herons, cranes fly with necks outstretched, not pulled back. Cranes live on all continents except Antarctica and South America.

They are opportunistic feeders that change their diet according to the season and their own nutrient requirements. They eat a range of items from suitably sized small rodents, fish, amphibians, and insects to grain, berries, and plants.

Cranes construct platform nests in shallow water, and typically lay two eggs at a time. Both parents help to rear the young, which remain with them until the next breeding season.

Some species and populations of cranes migrate over long distances; others do not migrate at all. Cranes are solitary during the breeding season, occurring in pairs, but during the non-breeding season they are gregarious, forming large flocks where their numbers are sufficient.
