Bad Tango - Enzyme (Hedflux remix)

Two more slamming remixes are coming your way from the Toast and Jam Remixed series. Shade K gets the party started with some acoustic guitars melting into the familiar theme, giving way at the drop to a bouncing bass line ready to rattle the bass bins right apart. The Chris Voro remix employs a healthy dose of the original theme with a stabbing syncopated synth bass driving the beat underneath. Add to that some well placed vocal samples and a massive kick/snare combo and you've got yourself one tasty jam!

"Arasaka" is a psybreaks track, focusing on the atmosphere, the drive, without losing the melodic side of the genre.
My soundtrack of a huge tech, corrupted giant, which Johnny Silverhand made his life goal to take down.

"Mikoshi" is also mainly psybreaks and despite being more melodic, it's darker. The drums are more classical breaks oriented and it sounds more ominous.
This is what I thought could be in the background, when V used the Soulkiller to remove the Relic.

"Kusanagi", is mostly progressive. Featuring the beautiful vocals of Greek singer, Elena Tzavella, it doesn't compromise on the psy elements, but the main thing here is the musical journey.
It's a theme of the adventure's outro, when V, puts his legendary sword, representing virtue and honour, in it's case and drives off to the rest of his life."

He has been working really hard in the studio and the time has come to present us the results of the endless hours of work, by telling us a tale with this EP. And what an EP it is...
A brilliant and unique blend of funky Psy Trance with Electro House. This will strike as a thunder...

First track is "Noise Juggling". Warning. This is not for the faint hearted. Excellent vocal stabs and bendy electro sounds throughout this entire 142 bpm electro psy masterpiece. There's no way you won't move your feet to this one. 

And when you thought it can't get any better, here comes the revelation of 2013, Split & Jaxta with their remix, to funk things up more. Immediately after their return from "Burning Man", the Israeli duo sat down and reworked "Noise Juggling" to something extraordinary fat. Split & Jaxta just raised the bar once more...

Finally, as the last treat, we give you "Once Upon A Time...". Harder and edgier, with a mystic atmosphere to surround it, this one, surely, represents it's title... Oh and you're going to love that suspense guitar in the breakdown...

Yo yo! I'm seriously glad to finally be sharing this track with you, it took an exceptionally long time to write. This is the A-side to my next EP for Broken Robot Records, and has been my end of set track for some time. I really tried to push my knowledge of sound design to the limits during it's making and in the process learned a whole bunch of techniques that i'd simply be lost without.

Nearly three years in the making and with all of the careful attention of which I'm capable, I'm delighted to bring you 'The Losing Struggle,' my second solo artist album.

Having spent so much time in the breaks world, and with free rein to marry that to my fascination with dark and melancholic, filmic soundscapes and twisted heavy basslines, my labour of love is out of my hands and into the chaos of reality, courtesy of Beatman and Ludmilla's brilliant Ayra Recordings.

Working with great artists like Sonic Element (on the title track) and Remeya Kingston (the vocalist behind 'What It Is To Fall'), has been another immense privilege.

By now you will have heard me raving on about Grouch on facebook. For me, and many others, he is one of the true masters of psychedelic music, and a hugely inspiring character! I got to spend a couple of days with him when I was in Australia earlier this year, and we played around on our laptops, producing as many cool sounds as we could in the time we had. After this, we went home and each produced a track using those sounds as the basis. This is my version, and it will be coming out on Broken Robot in December 2012. Grouch's version will be coming out sometime in 2013, i'll keep you posted!

The long awaited White Nights is finally seeing the light of day! I actually finished this track more than 2 years ago, I don't think it's dated that much, but that's for you guys to decide. I wrote this after first playing in St Petersburg in the spring of 2010, where it stays day light all through the night (hence white nights). It's been slotting perfectly into the end of my sets, being as it is 137bpm. Comments are gratefully received as always :)

Our aim is to bring back the dark, underground sound but this time, we'll keep it underground…
