“Prayogshala is where I began splicing vocal fragments from Anurag Kashyap’s film 'No Smoking' (released 2007) — a movie that was way ahead of its time. Surreal, absurd, and subversive, it dared to explore control, addiction, and free will in ways few Indian films ever have.

The track builds on that same unease and the structure unravels like a sonic mind game in progress.

Dismissed by critics and audiences on release, 'No Smoking' has since built a strong cult following — especially among Kashyap loyalists and global cinephiles who compare it to David Lynch’s surrealist cinema.

Screened at film festivals in Rome, Beijing, and beyond, 'No Smoking' found more resonance overseas than at home — and is now regarded by many as a modern Indian masterpiece.” (Eyeryz)
