He has musical influences that range from all over the world.Dj Monty is an intergalactic space jockey. As a group the embargo is nowhere near mainstream or could not be considered to be musical conformist, our mission statement lies within our name….to question what is set in front of your face and take action. Between around 1996 and 2000 a number of Edinburgh rappers and producers came together to form what became one of the well regarded and influential groups of the time. Though they only ever put out one 12" - The Superhuman Colosseum - the group gained a reputation for making unique hip hop in the vein of Ultramagnetic MC's and Company Flow. The group eventually split, forming two crews - Penpushers and Eaters - both of which have release albums which gained respect and critical acclaim worldwide. 

This mix shows what kind of album TPV would have come out with had they remained one group. Some tracks are instrumentals which were intended for vocals, some tracks are an almost finished product, and some are early work which we still liked. We have used recordings from the original DATs where possible but some stuff only remained on tape so the quality is mixed.
