We’ve been huge fans of Pacific Coliseum for a long time, so we’re very proud to present an EP with him on SB and who better to introduce the release than the man from Vancouver himself... 'After four years, it feels amazing to return to my Pacific Coliseum project with the Breeze FM EP. This record came together in a really beautiful, collaborative way, between myself and the SlothBoogie crew. I sent over a handful of demos, and together we compiled and developed this record, which feels both fresh and true to the sound of my previous releases. I wanted to have the record bounce around a bit in terms of tempos and feels: Wine Host has a nice sunset, downtempo feel; Breeze FM taps into a deeper, jazzier sound; Feel Free is a peak time Italo jam. Something for everyone! The whole thing is rounded off with Tech Support’s remix of Feel Free, which re-imagines the tune as an electro stomper. I’ve got a lot planned for this project in the year to come, and this feels like the perfect way to reintroduce myself to people.'

"Para Mytho Disco" is a futuristic mix of sounds. It's far away from the dark monotone techno and trance music from Kapote's hometown Berlin. Instead, he creates warm, friendly atmospheres full of sonic colors and little musical surprises.
Kapote's knowledge of music history and his background as a jazz piano student and son of classic music composer are clearly inside this music. Before turning into a DJ and electronic music producer, he has been playing in bands since he was 13 years old.  The album is full of emotional chord progressions played by Kapote on various keyboards. Sometimes reminding music from the past without being retro at all. The bass lines and melodies are inspired by jazz fusion from the 1970ies. And he programmed syncopated grooves that come from Afro-American dance music. There are influences from Japanese electronic music (Yellow Magic Orchestra), from 1980ies Synthwave and from 1990ies electronica (like Squarepusher and Luke Vibert).

Evock and his brother Manu Lepine deliver a track with deep, jazzy, and extremely sunny colors.

Dub Striker & Davelly, the label bosses, once again came together in a friendly vibe around an idea that here takes the form of “Téléshopping.”
Walk In The MetaPark, the final composition of this EP by Rowland, our friend from England whom we warmly greet, comes with a heavy bassline and an irresistible groove that perfectly sum up this release.

Living in Berlin this summer, 4004 will get lots of inspiration and will have a busy musical journey. And hopefully some sleep!
