Inspiration Funk

As the Easter season draws near, I’m drawn to this well-loved and inspiring Biblical passage from 3. Ecclesiastes. I’ve added a shortened version to the artwork. Over the years, I’ve been inspired by film music. So many wonderful composers have left a rich and varied legacy of treasured memories in this genre. Sometimes, after watching a film, I feel inspired to weave something into the fabric of the story. I’d been watching and reading Brian Friel’s biopic: ‘Dancing at Lughnasa’ where two scenes stood out. The mourning of the sister’s farewell in the film with their happier ‘dancing days.’ The scenes fit nicely in 3. Ecclesiastes – A Time to Mourn; And a Time to Dance – an experience we all encounter throughout our lives.
