The City of Lost Dubs is an enigmatic place lost in time and space. It was once a vibrant city filled with life and energy, but it now lies in ruins.

The city was built by a powerful musician who wanted to create a place where everyone could express their love music. He used his wealth and influence to buy up the land and build a massive complex filled with stages, sound systems, and VIP areas. But he was never able to bring people together—the city fell into disrepair, forgotten by all except the few who knew its secrets.

The silky soulful sounds of BlackNote roll thick and deep like the mists of nostalgia on dark streets of rhythm. Calling on sounds from his youth and weaving them into a modern textile. BlackNote bends time and era with layers of jazz, soul, hip hop and the crisp sounds of halftime, into a dance floor amnesia of sound.
Asheville’s Newcomer Jesse Edwards, aka BlackNote, has been honing his skills in the music industry for the past year. Originally a business major, BlackNote's new style blends blends uk dubstep and downtempo with rap influences from his childhood to create a soulful bass dance experience for all music goers. His mixing technique along with his unique song selection skills combine to bring together an eccentric dance experience.
BlackNote’s evolution into the music scene has allowed him to introduce another element to this community and this has allowed him to extend his range of talents even further. His use of songs from the underground music community allows BlackNote to challenge the boundaries of other musicians. Utilizing this method, BlackNote is able to tell stories which explore the depths of movement and composition within the human body.

For 10 years a group of individuals, representing the communities of the surrounding watershed, have gathered on this land, transcending mere celebration to crafting extraordinary experiences.
As Everland reflects on this, we see it as a blessing of success, and we recognize our fortunate haven amidst the chaos in the world.
Like an organism responding to stressors, we feel the tension in our shared space. The reverberations of conflicts overseas, and the daily stresses chipping away at our communal resilience.
We are not our bodies alone, we are threads woven into the chaotic tapestry of shared experience. Come listen to the pulse of our collective being, and find solace in the shared understanding that in dance, we rediscover our communal strength. Let's direct our focus towards peace together, and as interconnected parts, we can work towards healing, nurturing the bonds that make us whole!
