Black Obsidian in the pocket closest to my heart
I am protected.

I place the smooth volcanic rock in the palm of my hand			
A Black angel stands in a nocturnal graveyard looking on. Sword of truth by their side resting on the promise of honour and reverence for all who make the commitment.

Become aware of your breathing 
Notice the influx of air through your nostrils
Allow your belly to expand 
hold for the count of one two three.

Feel your stomach contract as you Breathe out through your mouth..
The sensation of air washing over your tongue till no more breath remains

one two three

I gaze into the glossy surface of the stone 
just long enough to reveal the source of my distress. 

Acknowledge any anger, pain or suffering you might feel.
		
Transitions, no matter the context, are a political moment.
A chance to detach from weighted positions, a chance to be moved. 

(The sound of burning)

Visualise any energy or beliefs that no longer serve you draining away
washing into and becoming one with the sea. 
Leaving you restored, cleansed
And whole.

What am I afraid of? 

I am safe
I am grounded
 
A black hole is the result of immense light. You are that same light.
Darkness is what holds this universe together - 
Because ​Blackness​ is not mere absence but rather an abundance.
