Blackouse are a 4 piece alternative-indie rock band re-formed in late 2010 from Halifax, West Yorkshire. The line up is Carl Smith on vocals and rhythm guitar, Glenn Scholefield on lead guitar, Aaron Dyson on the Bass Guitar and Scott Bailey on drums. We are described as fast, loud and full of energy when performing. We put every bit of effort and every second of spare time into songwriting and we have recently released their self-titled E.P containing the tracks: The Only Way Forward, It's Tuesday Isn't It? The sky We have 12 of our own tracks and are writing all of the time, we will be in the studio soon to record some more of our music so you can hear it. Our influences include. The Kinks, The Libertines, The Beatles, Oasis, Guns 'N' Roses, The Strokes, Stone Roses, AC/DC, Nirvana, The Cribs, The Pixies, Bloc Party, Peep Show and Fight club

A cover version of The Left Banke's 'She May Call You Up Tonight' from the album 'Walk Away Renee/Pretty Ballerina' (1967) written by Michael Brown and Steve Martin. This version was recorded as part of a demo-session to test the newly installed Protools system at the Grapehouse Studio in early 1999. This is prior to the recording of Tim's debut solo-album 'Secrets On Parade' and the very first recording session as a solo-artist after the break-up of Dizzy Mizz Lizzy. This recording features Tim on guitar and vocal, Lars Skjærbæk on bass, Emil Jørgensen (Ex-Swan Lee) on drums and Marcus Winther-John, Troels Skjærbæk and Lars Skjærbæk (Inside The Whale) on Background vocals.

Blackouse are a 4 piece band from Halifax, England and are definitely one to watch out for. With ever increasing popularity and attendance at gigs, they are proving to the north with solid evidence that the guitar isn‘t dead yet . Blackouse are one of the rare unsigned bands around at the moment who spend most of their time writing and rewriting songs, working on hooks and lyrics and binning anything that is less than perfect. They have a incredible ability to balance the melodic and harmonic elements of a song with a quiet yet powerful emotional core. Although the band have been putting off releasing a ‘proper’ ep over the years, with the increasing success they have gained recently they have decided to go back into the studio to record an ep which will be available to buy in the spring. With their enthralling live sets and unrivalled determination Blackouse are one of the most exiting and promising bands of 2012.
