The Italian producer has always been a huge talent, as Michael Bibi and his Solid Grooves team saw in 2016, the year in which Franz started as a Resident DJ. Now, determined to return to his highest level, and be the one who in 2016 was consecrated, Costa works tirelessly, and from that hard work comes, among others, this release that will not leave anyone indifferent.

Backing up impressive outings on Lapsus Music, One Dance Left, Aparenzza Music, and more, Parisian underground duo Catsinka make their Más Vida Music debut with Response, also featuring Black Seven Music frontmen BRODYR on remix duties. Kicking off with the title cut, Response serves a weighty underbelly of chugging grooves and swinging bass notes complemented by endless percussive shuffle and playful vocal chops, resulting in an undeniably danceable underground vibe-builder. The BRODYR remix of Response offers dynamic contrast and oozes their signature Black Seven Music sound: potent drums, thick and prominent bass, and a never-ending wormhole of percussive movement to get lost in. Its mind-bending transitions bring the remix together perfectly, making it a standout addition to the Más Vida Music archives. Catsinka, a DJ and producer duo from Paris, have been creating their music since they met in 2018, blending tech house with minimal vibes. Their distinctive production style has been featured on labels such as Lapsus, 303Lovers, Vassnova, and Clarisse, earning support from international artists like Solardo, Riva Starr, Roger Sanchez, and Viviana Casanova. Their music has also been broadcast on prominent radio stations, including Data Transmission (UK), AMW FM (NL), Ibiza Global Radio, and Radio FG (FR). With both their productions and sets gaining attention, Catsinka is a duo to watch closely. BRODYR, the dynamic DJ duo from North Wales, have been making waves in the global Tech House scene since 2015. Their name, meaning Brothers in Welsh, reflects their familial bond and powerful musical synergy, which is evident in their groove-laden, percussive Tech House style. Heavily influenced by Marco Carola, BRODYR have released successful tracks on their label, Black Seven Music, and Unnamed & Unknown and Distance. Beyond the studio, theyve electrified stages at top events like The Warehouse Project, Parklife, and Hideout Festival. As founders of Black Seven Music, they are key influencers in the Tech House genre, continuously pushing its boundaries while aspiring to make their label a global phenomenon. 'Casualities’ by Phonique featuring Erlend Øye, originally released on Phonique’s 2007 album 'Good Idea', is making a return with a stunning collection of remixes, both old and new. 

Out on Zatar Music, this release brings together some of the most exciting names in deep house and electronic music, breathing new life into this iconic track.

Phonique first encountered Erlend Øye’s voice in 2003 when he received a promo of a Morgan Geist track featuring the Norwegian artist. Instantly captivated, he soon discovered Øye’s extensive musical background, including his work with Kings of Convenience and his unforgettable vocals on Röyksopp’s 'Poor Leno' and 'Remind Me'.

A chance connection through their mutual friend Annie led to Phonique and Øye meeting in Berlin, sparking a musical friendship that resulted in collaborations such as the Erlend Øye DJ-Kicks mix and the much-loved 'For The Time Being'. As Øye was forming The Whitest Boy Alive, he and Phonique continued to jam together, and ‘Casualities’ was born, finding its place on 'Good Idea' in 2007. To complete the full-circle moment, Morgan Geist was invited to remix the track for the original 12” release.

Now the new release assembles the best remixes of 'Casualities' including two brand-new reworks by GRIFE & Albuquerque and Nacho Varela & Cruz Vittor. 

Brazilian producers GRIFE & Albuquerque offer a deep, hypnotic rework of ‘Casualities,’ transforming it into an entrancing house journey. Known for their atmospheric soundscapes, GRIFE and Albuquerque, a key figure in Brazil’s underground scene and a resident of Warung Beach Club, merge their styles to create a rolling groove with lush textures and crisp percussion.

Nacho Varela & Cruz Vittor, the Argentine duo renowned for their emotive deep house productions, also contribute a fresh remix, available here for the first time. Their sound is defined by deep, melodic elements and ethereal atmospheres and their take on ‘Casualities’ brings a warm, flowing energy, intertwining melancholic tones with an uplifting, cinematic approach.
Alongside the two new remixes, the release features an impressive selection of reworks:

Gorje Hewek Remix & Extended Remix: The Russian producer delivers an organic, deep house interpretation filled with lush, evolving textures.

YAME Remix: A contemporary take on the track, fusing deep grooves with a modern club-ready feel.

Morgan Geist Remix: The legendary producer, known for his work with Metro Area, adds his signature touch, staying true to the groove while injecting an unmistakable funk.

Burnski Remix: A bass-heavy, rolling remix from the UK artist, who has made waves in house and minimal circles.

Antonio Eudi & Bruno Be Remix: The Brazilian duo bring their own blend of house elements, creating a warm and infectious reinterpretation.

Also included are Phonique's Club Mix and the Original Radio Edit.
