Originally hailing from Serbia, Misha is a Washington DC-based artist who has been making a name for himself with releases on Rawthentic, Tamango, and his own High Class Nasty imprint, with his last two outings gracing the top spot in the Beatport tech house charts. The Echostage resident now readies his Hottrax debut with the vibrant ‘Ritmo De Verao’ EP, fusing kinetic beats and low-end grooves. 

Opener 'Ritmo De Verao' is a party-pumping cut peppered with lively percussion, rolling snares and tin-pot sounds next to an alluring vocal that brings the heat to what is a no-nonsense tech house weapon. 'Issues' follows, combining more steamy house beats with sensuous vocals, slick drum programming and smart filters to build the tension before 'Snake Charmer' enters more hypnotic territories with its mystic leads, chopped vocal stabs and restless toms.

Coming in hot with the next release on Black Seven Music, Netherlands native GIMBO9000 delivers a solo EP accompanied by a remix from label bosses, BRODYR. Following on from his remix on Milos Pesovic's 'F With Me' EP, the talented dutchman takes to the floor with 'For The Ladies’.

Getting things moving, ‘For The Ladies’ dishes out an impressive and clean-cut combination of driving low-frequency beat elements, matched by the ripple of scattered percussive factors. Building on the captivating hotbed of robust rolling tech flavour, the flair of offbeat fills and shuffles add even more layers to grab your attention. Enveloping the track and bringing it all together, a creatively constructed array of vocal cuts, phrases and chops with a boujee attitude and unlimited sauce.

Putting a pleasantly indulgent spin on what is already an awesome cut, label bosses BRODYR pump an insatiable volume of roar and groove into the title track. Their remix comes bursting at the seams with a pulsating sub-line and pounding drum play. Dusting it off with frequent smatterings of suspense and atmosphere, the duo reminds us exactly why they started Black Seven with this thumper.

Last, but not least, ‘Cici’ shows off even more of GIMBO9000’s unparalleled musical persona. A dark and gritty number with a retro feel, driven by a sea of old-school drum sounds and an early-days-of-house style bassline. Not to mention the influential female vocal topline that glides throughout the track; the end product has an unlimited track ID requests/hidden gem feel to it.
