Formed in Portland, Oregon 2011 – the place, it can be said 21-year old punks, hippies and radical thinkers go to retire. Dead Cvlt channel the energy of 1980’s anarchist punk and US hardcore via the dark swirling guitar of early Banshees and Bauhaus. From within the burgeoning DiY enclaves reaching from Vancouver and Seattle in the rainy Pacific North-west to the scorched earth of Southern California, Dead Cvlt join the revolution for a change of conscience. In a history of progress before humanity, from the desecration of tribal cultures , through never-ending war and the global capitalist tyranny of today, Dead Cvlt play their songs for those living amongst the dying and dead.

A sublabel within the industrial hardcore family of Dark. Descent., Zuur focuses on hard rave and acid sounds. The EP features 3 more tracks in the same twilight zone between hardcore, acid and EBM, along with remixes by Synapscape, Embrionyc, Omnicide and Hidden Rooms. This is anti-human music for the darkest of warehouses, club floors and beyond.

I'm some... experimental post-punker that was hugely influenced by Jimi Hendrix and other blues based guitarists in my teens... then learned to really despise that whole thing.  My musical preference did a 180 and roughly a decade later or two later... and so I'm just here loving how far technology has come and ANYBODY that can write a song... and figure the internet out and get your craft out there.  So  yeah...  that's where I'm at...  I do get moments of creative indulgences and I do try sometimes to get it recorded and posted.  But yeah... I'm Auston.  Hi.
