After the high acclaimed first release a few months ago with Chris Rea’s Josephine, we’re back with the second edtion of MB EDITS. This time we play tribute to Swedish pop/rock band Eskobar with their world wide major hit back in 2002. Someone New features Heather Nova on vocals. The song was in TV commercials for Peugeot 208 and mobile operator 3.

The first edit comes from Sweden’s high rising stars Copycat and Martin Brodin. Their slow electronic-disco chugger is simply put as a beautiful adoption of the original with the hook line working just sublime. Once the song is over you’ll will play it over and over. As you’ll notice, the original is such a feel-good track.  They both lately finished remixes for Nang and LaBelle.
Second out is Danish René Kirkegaard alias Cemetary. A producer who likes his Deep/Tech House. And his remix is nothing but a true slow Deep House builder for over 9 minutes, with the vocals of Heather Nova coming in just as sweet as we want it. 
We’d be very surprised if this track wouldn’t be rated as one of the best underground remixes of 2012!!!

This is my cover of the song "Shame" by Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow, taken from Williams' second greatest hits compilation album, In and Out of Consciousness: The Greatest Hits 1990–2010. It was released as the lead single from the album on 4 October 2010 by Virgin Records in the United Kingdom. The single marked the first time that both Barlow and Williams had performed together on a song since the latter left Take That in 1995.
The process of Barlow and Williams working together again began in February 2010 in Los Angeles. The single was confirmed by Barlow to have been written in under an hour in an empty studio and helped both himself and Williams to draw a line under their 10 year feud after the latter left Take That.
Bit of  a risky choice as far as covers go, but I thought it would be funny to record both vocal parts and pan them, I hope this comes across when listening.

I want to share this new unreleased song with you:

This is a song I wrote inspired by a painting done by a brilliant artist friend of mine, Jacqueline Alma. The title of the painting is "Shallow Waters" and the title of my song is "I see it All".  My song is not only a response to the painting and its subject, which addresses discrimination within society, but it's also a tribute to the artist's creative process; I am very impressed by Jacqueline's dedication to an old school approach to painting - using only 5 colours and mixing everything from that (using no black), painting only from life never from photographs (Kenton posed for 500 hours for this painting!) and her patient attention to every detail; sourcing the linen and  preparing the canvas are as much a part of the process for her as painting the picture.

I love the idea of one art form responding to another. Crossing the borders between different forms of emotion and expression.  I hope to do more of this in the future." -Heather Nova
