UMEK’s record label, 1605, drops the 10th instalment in its Desiderati 4 series, which features peak time techno tracks by Danny Avila, Heerhorst, Novem Vivit and Benjamin Di Bora.

1605’s Desiderati 4 series features four tracks hand-picked by UMEK that are extensively road tested in his DJ sets before being released. It’s a series that features incredible tracks by label favourites, established names and exciting new talents.

Heerhorst is a producer from Hamburg in Germany who has previously released on 1605 in addition to other scene-leading techno imprints such as Terminal M, CODEX and Filth on Acid. He is a regular collaborator with Teenage Mutants and this release features his fast-and-furious solo track “XTC”.

“XTC” has rattling high-end percussion and a thundering kick forming a foundation for sweeping pads and flutters of melody, while the track approaches the breakbeat rhythms of the tantalizing breakdown.

Hypnostate's "Mind Control" is a curated compilation that marks the label's first edition, helmed by label boss Timmo. The 12-track collection features contributions from both core artists Balthazar &amp; JackRock, as well as 11 newcomers to the label.

Leading off the compilation is Timmo's "Let's Go Back," an energetic track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Balthazar &amp; JackRock's "Inner Vision" follows, delivering a mesmerizing blend of hypnotic beats and ethereal melodies.

Antonio D'Africa and Sall's "Constant-Q" is a proper peak-time weapon, with its driving rhythms and relentless energy. "Love 1952" by Stoked offers a different perspective with a nostalgic and emotional touch.

TimiR's "Back To The" and Bj&oslash;rnson's "Wrong Answer" both showcase the label's diversity and willingness to take creative risks. Ba&uuml;s &amp; Unlighted's "Infiltrate" and Masino's "Talk About Us" both deliver on the label's promise to bring new and exciting sounds to the techno genre.

"Your Love" and "Modulate" by TimiR and Jarrod Graeme respectively, show the label's ability to seamlessly blend different styles and influences. SUDO's "My Time" and Julian Mesa's "Esme" round off the compilation with a groovy and upbeat touch.

Overall, "Mind Control" is a well-rounded and cohesive compilation that showcases the label's mission to push boundaries and introduce new artists to the techno scene.

March the 31st meet Jody 6 to deliver his two-techno -tracks single release titled "I Want to Get Lost" to CODEX Recordings!

"I Want To Get Lost" is about getting lost in the music and euphoria at a dark rave. When you are on the floor, feeling the music and enjoying this moment in time.  I designed the track to have lots of energy and dropping with gritty bass stabs and a strong kick. I like the contrast of a dirty heavy groove with the softer female vocal atmospherics. 

In "The Darkness Drops" is all about the euphoria, tension, and excitement of a big build climaxing in the explosion of energy at the drop. I created The Darkness Drops to have a crescendo of ecstasy for the big build, culminating in the scary vocal: 'And then it drops… the darkness'. The listener is then plunged down the rabbit hole with the heavy groove and fat synth lead on the drop.

Maxi Alvarado - Odyssey

Hypnostate is off to an electrifying end of the label's most prominent year, with Timmo's latest release, "Electronic Nation." It marks the first in a series of singles to come out by him in the coming months. "Electronic Nation" is a track that blends elements of techno, trance and progressive. Timmo's signature sound is at the forefront, while the uncompromising vocals send a powerful message of unity combining it with a robust groove and uplifting synths.
