A selection of tunes taken from the second release by the artist Bl4cksun. An album of trance tunes very much in the styles of Armin Van Buuren, Andy Blueman and Above and Beyond. Follow the buy link to preview the full and final version of the album.
The opening track, 'Sunrise' is an epic uplifting instrumental trance track very much incorporating an orchestral feel. Right from the off, a beautiful piano introduces a theme which is further enhanced by the strings. The overall feel has the 'feel good' factor and the track really captures the essence of a Sunrise. Listening to the original mix recalls Ibiza mornings watching the sunrise after a good night out.
The other tracks switch to a more common vocal trance structure. 'Just a Dream' stands out as awash with kind of female vocals that send a shiver down your spine. 'From You' has a hypnotic catchy hook from a male vocalist that will have the listener singing along, in the style of the classic Van Buuren anthem 'Going Wrong'

Just A Dream (Original Mix)

The Chronicles of Muad'dib is a mini 'set' created as something different for a sci-fi event. Designed to stand out as a bit different, having a common theme that runs throughout the set, taking the listener on a journey and telling them a story.

This 20 minute set was inspired by the book and film called 'Dune' and follows the metamorphosis of the boy Paul Atreides into Muad'Dib, the religious leader of the known universe.

The frequencies are then lowered slowly to induce alpha waves in the brain through brain entrainment. This induces a feeling of relaxation and drowsiness finally resulting in sleep.

This track is designed to deep dreamless sleep or aid meditation. The frequencies used match the end of the dream inducing tracks and are lowered slowly to induce theta and delta waves in the brain through brain entrainment. This induces a feeling of deep relaxation and meditation resulting in deep dreamless sleep and loss of body awareness. The frequencies then return to a higher level towards the end of the track.

What Dreams May Come

An experiment with binaural beats and drone sounds to create a sound texture that is designed to aid sleep and meditation. The binaural beat effect is very subtle and really needs to be listened to via headphones.

By gradually raising the binaural beat frequency, through brain wave entrainment, the brain is taken through alpha and beta wave patterns which gradually makes the brain more alert and ends the sleep or meditative state.

Another binaural beat brain entrainment experiment, this time designed to stop headaches. 
Headphones are required in order to hear the binaural beat frequencies.
The track starts out with Beta wave frequencies which may cause mild discomfort. This is necessary to allow the brain to match with the beat frequencies and start the brain entrainment.

Lost Memories

Today, Bl4cksun is a collection of musical artists with a wide range of disparate musical styles and tastes, all crammed together inside one body. Together they share a need to produce music they love, despite a hearing disability; if other people also share a love for some of their music, so much the better. After all, like a tree falling in a forest, a tune no one listens to, doesn't make a sound.
Bl4cksun started his musical career as a trance DJ playing various online radio stations, even winning the odd DJ contest. Some 300 shows later, bored with just mixing other peoples tunes, it was time to start making his own tracks. 
A chance discovery of Tom Cosm's website and its first class Ableton Live tutorials saw the release of Bl4cksun's first tunes on Soundcloud. Hooked on making music, an investment in a couple of hardware synths, an Access Virus and Radical Technologies Spectralis, provided a sonic boost to the Bl4cksun sound.
