Xav is a growing force in the underground music scene, who has a knack for storytelling as a DJ through beautiful melodic arcs and deep techno rhythms that are as inviting as they are mysterious. He is also imaginative as an event promoter, creating experiences like our recent HAUS BOAT party + Canal Party + Sidepiece event triple combo w/ @anomalisradio.

Brace yourself for an October surprise! Not only are we doing one more TECHNO IN THE PARK this year, but we’ll have the legendary @that_juana on the decks! Join us Friday October 4 as we close out the season!

JUANA has been instrumental to the development of the techno scene in DC as a member of the Sequence collective and continues to shape the musical landscape of the nation’s capital as a member of Noxeema Jackson (@party_at_noxys).

Juana is not only a powerhouse on the decks, but also in the studio, recently releasing a stellar set of tracks on the We Are Everything We Think We’re Not EP. Juana also has a remix on the upcoming Asura EP by @stukesm4, coming out later in October on the BLACK TECHNO MATTERS Music Label.

For Week 2 of our 5 weeks of Pride colabs, we are in London, UK with FEEL IT the party co‑produced by legendary queer collective Little Gay Brother and the iconic drag DJ‑producer Jodie Harsh. First up here is ADAM THEO.

Born and raised in East London, Adam got his start in nightlife by throwing his own parties, always with a clear vision for how they should sound and make people feel. DJing was a natural next step. His sets blend house, tech, and anything that brings good energy to the dancefloor.

This mix was recorded at home while getting ready for a weekend of gigs and festivals. It builds up quickly—going from 0 to 100—but captures the mood Adam was in at the time and the excitement he felt playing it.

For Week 4 of our 5 weeks of Pride colabs, we are in our home town of Berlin with Buttons. Today they bring us the second all vinyl set of the week with @shaunjwright

Shaun J. Wright grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago, falling in love with house music during their teenage years. While studying at Morehouse College in Atlanta, they honed their skills as a dancer in both the vogue ballroom scene and professional dance companies. After earning an MA in Fashion Curation from the London College of Fashion, they worked in fashion in New York City, where they met Andrew Butler of Hercules and Love Affair in 2008 and joined the group as a vocalist.

In 2012, Wright returned to Chicago to focus on their solo career, teaming up with DJ and producer Alinka to launch the Twirl label and party series. As a DJ, they’ve brought their sound – often laced with live vocals – to dance floors around the world, from Sydney to Berlin to their hometown, where they’re a resident at Smartbar.

This set was recorded at home using vinyl only, with a vocal outro from Aérea Negrot & Longopus added digitally. The tracklist was inspired by warm Sunday afternoons playing in the Garten at Buttons – sunny, soulful, and full of feeling.

Lunchbox Candy is all about community, diversity, radical self expression and curating an experience, an energy that connects and moves people. 

Over the years we’ve been expanding and experimenting with different sounds without getting stuck in a box - this is a little taste of what you would expect to hear at one of our parties. 

It features a wide variety of textures and sounds, steering away from specific genres, highlighting Queer, FLINTA, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists, producers, collectives and record labels - Chloe Thevenin’s Lumiere Noir, Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondent, Major Records, MARICAS, Josh Caffe, Dornika, DJ Babatr, CCL, D Tiffany, Roza Terenzi, Kim Swim, Steffi x Virginia and more.

It gives a nod to our past - specifically to ballroom culture with Alexander Skancke’s ‘You Get A Two’ and The Paradise Garage with a remake of Yazoo’s ‘Situation’ - 90s inspired New York house, sex dripping 808s with Josh Caffe and LSDXOXO, and then going down a more experimental booty shaking route with bass, breakbeat, dembow and even drum n’ bass.  

For many years queer parties focused on specific sounds and genres and rarely veered off into uncharted territories. It’s so refreshing to now witness so many different collectives embracing such diversity of genres from across the globe and from all eras, adding their own take and delivering something new, unique and exciting.

For Week 4 of our 5 weeks of Pride colabs, we are in our home town of Berlin with Buttons. Opening this special week is their resident @alisonswing with an all-vinyl mix.

Alison Swing is a DJ with a natural, honest style shaped by her roots in the LA warehouse scene. As co-founder of Dig Deeper, her parties and sets helped shape a decade of underground dance music in downtown Los Angeles. Since relocating to Berlin seven years ago, she’s become a regular at some of the city’s most exciting events, including her debut at Panorama Bar and a residency at Buttons. With a warm, uplifting sound and a keen ear for tracks that connect, she’s played over 30 countries, bringing her joyful take on club music to dance floors around the world.

This mix was recorded at her flat in Kreuzberg on a sunny morning before the summer heat kicked in. It features a bunch of new records picked up during recent crate-digging trips to Japan, Mexico and New York. It’s a playful, sassy selection, full of the quirky energy that reminds her of Buttons – and the freedom to be completely herself on the dance floor.

BCCO Mix Series 639: Alison Swing | BCCO x Buttons for PRIDE 2025

DJ handbag is a long-standing presence in Berlin’s underground queer scene, known for electrifying sets that radiate trans femme energy and unapologetic joy. A core member of @ooze collective, her sound blends handbag, hardbag, house, UK bass and garage with a dose of diva drama and industrial edge.

Rooted in community and rebellion, her sets blur genre boundaries and bring together shimmering euphoria with raw intensity. Think dreamy textures, high-camp vocals, and full-throttle energy — all delivered with theatrical flair and serious skill.

This set was recorded in the SEVEN secret garden in Berlin in June 2025. We’d known Tal for years, but this was the first time hearing her play a full set — and we were blown away. Bold selections, flawless mixing, and an energy that lights up the whole dancefloor. She commands the booth with love and joy, and this one will have you dancing from start to finish.

Originally from Warsaw, she honed her sound as co-host of the MESTIÇO club night, sharing lineups with artists like TSVI, Aya, and LCY. Her 2024 debut single Fluid Matter earned praise from CRACK and Mixmag, marking her as a rising force in the new wave of peak-time club music.
