before satellites mapped the Earth, 
before the species knew its own potential.

And so the most important decisions—
those that shape nations, 
redirect economies,

are still made using menus of options drawn 
from thought frameworks 
forged in the age of kings and emperors, 
when divinity was claimed by bloodline, 
and citizens were not citizens at all,

It was a time when a king, 
bored and restless, 
could demand entertainment, 
and if displeased, 
open a trapdoor beneath the performer, 
sending him to a dungeon to die slowly,

a time when landlords claimed the bodies of brides before their wedding nights, 
and the people accepted it as reality, 
reinforced by religion, 
cemented by myth, 
lamented in silence.

Today, we live in electrified cities, 
with global communications, 
precision engineering, 
and technological competence that borders on the miraculous—
but the trappings of those ancient systems remain, 
deeply entrenched, 
coded into the architecture of power.

Presidents and premiers may no longer claim divine right, but they still possess the authority to draft their people into wars engineered through deception, 
orchestrated by powerful actors seeking profit or legacy, and governments are still permitted to lie, 
to bury the truth for thirty years, 
knowing that by the time the facts emerge, 
the grieving parents will be gone, 
the betrayed generation will be old, 
and the new youth will dismiss it as distant history.

This is the sickness at the heart of the world: 
we all know war is wrong, 
we all sense that in a globalized, 
interconnected species, 
we should have moved beyond these brutal traditions—
but the progression stalls, 
and we must ask why.

The answer is simple, and devastating: 
the wealth and power of mankind 
are bound up in organizations 
that benefit from the perpetuation of ancient cultural flaws, 
and deep down, we all know it—
just like the serfs who bowed to kings, 
we hesitate to believe that change is possible, 
because the system feels eternal.

but to recognize their place in the structure of our species, and to understand that

We are capable of anything,

We need leadership—
not domination, but direction.

We need those in power to wield their influence
