today on release marks the astronomical end of summer and with that i am putting my first mixtape ‘nothing gold can stay’ into the world

approaching this mix i wanted to grapple with the ineffable emotions i experienced playing and being part of the dancefloor. as the seasons evolve this collection of songs have been my expression of where i have been and where i am going. i channel a magnitude of emotions that are impossible to explain with words. the tracks included are laced with memory, reflecting on love, time spent in nature and with friends, travels overseas, all stitched together amalgamating into an ode to the fading summer sun.

nothing gold can stay

recorded live at EXIT in Glasgow :) i wrote a little bit about my approach to this set below:

at the start of a new year i like to reflect and set intentions for the coming year through some ritualistic form. 2023 for me, like many, was a time of going inward and exploring aspects of my life needing release, and rediscovering the parts which i have the deepest connections to. reflecting on my belief that music can be a healing and connective force, i approached this mix with the intention of sharing this with others. many of the tracks included discovered me at the right time like they were sent from some galactic tannoy in the sky.

i am incredibly grateful to be a conduit for this music which gives me so much and to have the opportunity to share this with likeminded people :’)
