Il erre parmi les décombres, traqué par les drones de la Corporation.
Chaque lumière dans les ruines menace d’être un projecteur.
Chaque bruit de tôle devient un tir dans son esprit.
Le vent lui-même semble murmurer des ordres qu’il ne veut plus entendre.

Son esprit se fissure.
Des fragments de souvenirs surgissent sans prévenir : des voix, des cris, des visages qu’il ne reconnaît pas.
Il ne sait plus ce qui est réel, ce qui est implanté, ce qui est manipulé.

La paranoïa s’empare de lui comme un virus.
Il court entre les carcasses de gratte-ciel, échappe aux tirs automatisés, détruit les drones qui s’abattent sur lui comme des prédateurs.
Mais plus il survit, plus il se rend compte d’une vérité effrayante :

La Corporation ne veut pas seulement le récupérer.
Elle veut l’effacer.

Car s’il retrouve la mémoire, il découvrira pourquoi il a été créé…
et pourquoi il a été brisé.

Alors il décide d’arrêter de fuir.
Il se dirige vers la seule structure encore intacte à l’horizon :
la Tour-Cœur, le sanctuaire de la Corporation.
