Nathan Curry is a Media Writing and Production major and Creative American Music minor at the University of Miami Frost School of Music.  Crooked Smile was written from a songwriting exercise in a Lyric Writing class, and was recorded with the assistance of other FSOM and CAM musicians.

쓸쓸하면서도 달콤한 싸한 느낌의 멜로디를 가진 이 곡은 중간부분으로 갈수록 드라마틱하고 때로는 불안해지면서 절정에 달해서는 위아래의 성부가 서로 즐겁게 서로 주고 받는 매력적인 곡이다. 그리 길지 않은 연주 속에서 쇼팽의 음악적 스타일을 느낄 수 있는 곡이다.
