Aviator

Here's a quick cover I recorded of a song by Leon Bridges that I love singing right now. 
One mic in the room, then just overdubbed some backing vocals after.  No autotune or edits! Just a little compression, reverb, and eq to tame the guitar. 
My upcoming tracks (coming soon!) will be more of this sound - simple, stripped back, raw. I've been getting carried away with the production on the last EPs and lost sight of the sound I was really after. I feel like its time to go back to what I was originally trying to create with Blake Bastion, as looking back on the last two EPs I'm not happy with how they sound.

River - Leon Bridge Cover

I get asked a lot by people on here if they can sample or remix my guitar tracks to use in their productions. Since we are all in lockdown at the moment and all feeling isolated, I wanted to help out somehow. 

Every time I pick up a guitar I get ideas. Turning them into songs doesn't always happen, so instead of letting them disappear into the ether I've decided to start recording them, organizing them into tempos and keys, and now will be releasing them as often as I can as sample packs for anyone to use in their songs and productions.  Royalty-free, so you are free to do what you want with them :)

They are going to be free to download. If you want broken down stems of them then all I'll ask is a donation.  

I hope you find some inspiration with these ideas - and I'm excited to hear what comes out of this! I would love to hear how they get used - so send a copy to me if you do use them.

3 years ago today, more than 72 Children, Women, and Men died in the Grenfell Tower Fire in London.  Now, 3 years later, nothing has changed. Let's remember we still have - 

0 convictions, no one accepting responsibility  
23,000 homes remain covered in flammable cladding despite the government’s June 2020 deadline for its removal. 
56,000 people still living in unsafe council housing
0 changes 

This track was part of a charity album that was released shortly after the tragedy to help raise money for the families involved, I want to put it out again now to keep the conversation going, to help us remember, and hopefully help keep some attention on this issue. Any money from streams and downloads of this track will go to Justice 4 Grenfell
